Since it was my first time bleeding ABS it was a bit of a pain. If you have a pneumatic brake bleeder though it makes it very simple. I had the dealer still run an ABS purge after the install to make sure but honestly didn’t make much difference.
Sorry for the delay on our response. We considered selling these plates but to meet the quality of the print we have we would need to outsource production and the cost would be on the high side since it’s small batch. If you have a printer yourself we would be happy to share the 3d file and you can print your own!
While shopping around I came across Schott’s engineer boot. I haven’t really seen any reviews but they’re right around that $300 dollar mark and look pretty good to me, I’m curious if anybody’s checked those out and what they thought.
Greetings from USA 🇺🇸 California ~ I enjoyed watching you install the new shock, and the music 🎶 was a big addition to the enjoyment! I have the 2022 FXBB Street Bob and I will be changing mine out as well.
@hausofheimbach I've put a Fat Boy tank on my 2022 but the HD19 inch windshield is touching the tank on full lock(the fork Clamps and the bracket). So I may purchase the road warrior as wind protection is great.
Had to bleed the brakes like usual. No reprogramming. The ABS system can be a pain to get fully bled without the HD computer but you can always get it 90% bled and take it to your local dealer to have them purge the system for the last 10%.
Nice video! I was wondering what new cables you needed to get. I believe you got a longer brake line, and some extensions for the turn signals, but did you need a longer clutch cable, or anything for the throttle as it is ride by wire? Thank's in advance.
You are correct. Speed kings sells a complete cable extension kit. Just let them know the new bar height you are going for and they got you covered. All electrical including TBW needed extending. As for clutch line I wanted to stay with the Harley two piece clutch which does not come in the kit so I used my stock upper line from my 2019 street bob.
Shelby is 5’6” and this puts her arms at shoulder height. I am 5’11” and I have a similar bar height setup and my hands are about mid chest just below shoulders.
Speed Kings cycle sells a cable extension kit for the low rider s which is the same as the fatbob. I would give them a call and discuss what height bar/ riser you plan to run and they can recommend cable lengths needed. I would recommend getting the upper clutch cable from Harley though to retain the two piece clutch line versus the one piece Speed Kings provides in the kit. This prevents you from having to open up the transmission cover to replace the full clutch cable. Just my opinion though.
Absolutely. This setup puts your back upright and no longer hunched over the fuel tank. The narrower bar does a lot for improving turning responsiveness as well. 10/10 would recommend doing the swap.
It reminds of that meme of a husband bringing home a dog , and the wife says” it’s me or the dog?” And then the wife is left homeless, and husband less. And the husband and the dog live happily ever after. The end. P.S. And then they both find girls and a family is made.
@@hausofheimbach and very clean and simple camera work as well. I look forward to seeing more of your work/products. That is a lost art it seems these days for sure.
