Why are we doing the opposite of every single thing dressage preaches about free movement? Without pain, hyperflexion? Why are you rewarding this? I grew up riding under Suellen Malley and Que Sera. The bronze medalist in the Olympics. She NEVER trapped her animals like this. Hello?
I'm confused. I wanted to watch Ellie Fredericks test, she was due to go second last on day 1. But this coverage ends with James O'Haire and seems to miss the last 8 contestants - where are they please?
Every horses‘ dream to train for and participate in these shows! They also know that sometimes LDR/Rollkur is needed in order to win but that’s okay because which horse doesn’t want to win? Amazing 🎉
A good fiction book about this is Airs Above the Ground by Mary Stewart. Since reading it as a girl, I have always wanted to see the Lippizan stallions perform. I hope I can someday.
Close enough to Rolkur for me. Where do you draw the line on how much he’s being held in, how much his mouth is involved? It’s pretty but now do it with just your legs and seat and training. The reins should not need to be that short.
Ross canter in berly horse trials was so good, when her horse refused the jump about 2 or 3 times she schooled it and got eliminated but she did the right thing by just schooling it
Ok but please don’t hurt the horse I know it’s beautiful but she is doing roulkor what ever it is and there is foam coming from its mouth which means pain I think I don’t know much about roulkor but I ride horse.
Omg everdale… WHY FEI DONT NOTICE? Look at his head! At his expressions, the mouth please don’t tell me that this is right, dressage should be a connection between horse and rider, should be a beautiful thing to watch, not like this, it makes me remenber about Totilas.
You can just tell Valergo is relaxed. Most dressage horses that are in pain have tons of saliva dripping down their neck to their front legs. Valergo though he only foams? Which is exactly what is meant to be, he does have a bit on his neck but it’s not outrageous like other horses. If a horse has saliva outrageously dripping down the mouth that means they can’t swallow well and the riders are blocking that because of the amount of tension in the hands/ reins. Foaming means they are soft in the jaw and has steady and soft contact. Valergo was a one and only this horse and rider deserved to get that such high score. If you are seeing my comment thank you, this problem is so normalized.
