Never choose a vein solely by sight, always palpate to assess the depth, size, and direction of the vessel..When palpating a vein, everyone explains it the same way, “You just feel for a bounce!” But what are we actually saying when we describe palpating a vein as a “bounce”? This is really just a collapse and a rebound. When palpating, you’re feeling for a difference in tissue, a place where the tissue collapses more easily under the pressure of your finger, then when you release pressure, the tissue rebounds quickly..When you find a vein like this, it’s important to trace it proximally and distally in order to determine the direction the vein is running. This allows you to find the best section of vein that will support the entire length of the catheter, and line up your needle properly (in the same direction as the vein)

If you haven’t mastered the basics and jumping straight to btr .. I don’t think that is a right approach. I would suggest rather going through rapid revision videos of any platform that you find helpful along with supplementing it with btr + last 3 years pyqs . If time persists you can supplement it with test & discussion videos
