Interestingly enough, these guys got their start by making heavy metal parody covers of famous pop songs and then uploading them to RU-vid. Once they started gaining a following (and some much needed funding), they started experimenting with different sounds and styles as they honed in on what they wanted their sound to be. Things really took off for them a few years back when a Bollywood megastar linked to one of their songs. In a country of over 1 billion people, you can imagine the effect that had for the guys. In 2022, all their efforts culminated in the release of their first album, all completely self-produced! Even as of today, they've managed to avoid signing with any record label. They are social justice warriors and actively take steps to live the kind of lifestyle they sing about... no hollow sentiments. They are working on their second album now and I hope they are able to return to the US for a tour because their live shows are freakin' fantastic! I'm linking a few more for you to enjoy! That's one of the great things about BabyMetal no 2 songs the same. Su's vocals and the different tones show just how great she is . Live is always better. A list of channels is given in comments perfect for reaction to the live versions of BabyMetal songs 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Yea, you coffee drinkers are into that Alternative music stuff! 🤔 Wait! I'm a coffee drinker does that mean? I like *start over* Noooooooooo the humanity 🤣😂🤣🤣 _start over is a great song 🥰_
I love this song! Akane's drumming, and Saiki and Miku's harmonies are spot-on. And, of course, I love the little bonus that Saiki gives us at the end. LOL
I still think the Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 performance and playing of Play, Moratorium and Puzzle feels better overall. It has more musical impact for me. It's also like the audio and mix at the Garden is harsh digital, whereas Studio Coast is satisfying vinyl. And the audience weren't masked or asked not to sing or yell (because of COVID restrictions). But check out all the Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017 and 2018 ZEPP concert performances, if you can. (Found on YT, bili website, bandmaidprime, and on CD's/DVD's). It's well worth it! Thx, Phil!
This is defiantly a live performance but the studio track was put over top. When searching for Babymetal videos always look for "official live" or just "Live" in the title and always sound better, if it just says "official" it will have the studio track over the concert footage like this version. The live version of this the guitars are way more prominent in the mix.
I'm a fan of this song and i'm glad you liked it. A lot people missjudged this song at first. They heared the beats and catergorized it as J-pop or club music and used that to dissmiss it as a lesser song, but it's tune has more relation to classical music than pop. It could be converted to a string quartet and work perfectly. I would love to hear it fully orchestrated. It's not that heavy, but it doesn't need to be, it relies on power and emotional intensity rather than force. That metallic bass sound used when Moa starts singing, reminds me of a performance car's engine reving up. It would make good driving music.
The aristocracy gathers in power everywhere and always. Circles of those who want to control people. Circles of those who want to keep their power, and all that they get from it. In order to stay in power, they use propaganda. The strongest string of propaganda is fear. The fear of the Black Man makes people support those who do not inspire them with confidence. The fear of the Black Man will justify any crimes of the authorities. The less popular support the government has, the more fear they need. In this clip, there are also those who arrange a show, those who play music, bring bricks and weapons. And they are happy with what is happening from beginning to end.
The HQ Pro Shots ARE LIVE Official MV's almost always use studio audio over LIVE footage so suggest avoiding Officisl MV's in favor of HQ Pro Shots from channels such as: Hymnodic For The Fox God Kurokiitsunesama ferr
Guitars are very, very low in the mix on this studio version (I believe this is the official music video although it's cropped). As you can imagine, it hits harder live and you can clearly hear the guitars including a really nice lead during the pre-chorus. By the way, your general audio is also way too low. "Light and darkness" is way outside my alley musically and I admit it took me a few extra listens until it grew on me. But it eventually did and it was thanks to Su-metal's amazing vocals. Now I enjoy it a lot and the live version is even better.
Good reaction. I will admit this was one of the few BABYMETAL songs that had to grow on me ... and I knew to wait for the live version with live audio. I do prefer that, there are a couple of small timing changes and the Kami Band's instrumentals stand out a bit more .... plus Su's live vocals will always amazing.🦊
Seems you are still to watch Hanabie's best: Pardon me, I have to go now. That one is like Electric Callboy meets Linkin Park meets System of a Down meets Japan, but all blended perfectly
Fan cams are fun to watch to get the real live feel. The fact that you can make out the sound on a fan cam speaks to how well they play live. Thanks for the reaction, Philly!
It´s the biggest Liveband in the world (eversince Pink Floyd stopped touring). They transport 1.350 tons of equipment for a concert, more than 400 people involved. Every single song has its own theatrical show.
