Sorry for the late comment to this video, I watched it on my television and I thought I’d left a comment, not to worry, this is a great video and a great looking route, I’ve done most of it before but as usual you’ve shaken it up, job well done pal 👍😉
Awesome video dude! Love riding the peaks but never been up Hayfield way for riding. Seen someone else after the gpx. Definitely check it out. Keep up the good work 👌😎
I watched this on my television but like a div I forgot to comment on my phone, I do my best to remember to comment to everyone as it helps with the old RU-vid analytics 😉👍
I believe in giving credit where it’s due, you go to the effort of making a video so I feel it’s the least people can do even if it’s just a few words of praise for your efforts, I suppose I’m old school and the way I was raised 😉👍
Great selection of trails in Hayfield - some skilfull sheep dodging 🐏😂and tech trail riding mix to be had, cant beat riding in good weather nice one Ian cheers! 😁🤙
@@MTB_Trekker Great stuff mate having that as your local! I’m about 45mins/1 hour away. That descent is one of my faves you’ll love it, head up behind the tea rooms once on the path turn left and through the gate and when you get to the next gate turn right and that’s the one 👍🏼
Forgot to ask in the first comment I left….. are all these rides local to you or do you have to drive to get to them. And if you drive, what bike rack do you have.. 😊
Most of the good ones I’m about 45mins to an hour away buddy so have to drive, I don’t mind as it’s well worth it I have a Scorpion E1 bike rack that fits to my tow bar but looking to get a van soon 👍🏼
@@IanCran76 yes mate. It’s showing my side. For some reason I have to post twice and you get my second one 🧐 not sure why. I’ll copy and paste my first one below 😂
Got to get myself to your area one day Ian… looks brilliant. I liked the look of the decent round the 4:00 min mark and the section just after 10 mins with the drops. Another cracker. 👊🏻
Wow How do you stay on the Bike when some of those runs a so Rocky do you wear body armor and full face helmet Have you ever encountered any dog walker or ramblers when your flying down the slopes and if so , did they survive also i may have asked you before but is your E-bike a 250 watt pedal assist or a 30 mph throttle job still Enjoying watching you take the Risks
Hi mate thanks for the comment. I would like to say its skill but I usually just hang on for dear life! Nah no body armor or full face for me just a trail lid and some knee pads I have never crashed into anyone as of yet so thats pretty good I think. My bike is a 625wh pedal assisted bike 😀

2:15 gnarly looking rocky section… the whole ride was a cracker looks like it had a bit of everything. Can’t wait to get back out. Back off holiday now but bloody work is getting in the way 😂.
Cheers buddy, I did send u an email after I did the other route I had off you but not sure wether you got it mate was just to say thanks really enjoyed it, and look forward to doing another 👍🏻
🙌nice video, nice ride!! One day i may come for a spin...now i do mostly in South...and summer time in Wales- Afan Forest. I posted on line...on my channel SUBSCRIBED
Cheers buddy, just a steady one to stretch the legs! That descent is heading down to Roych Clough but it’s usually done the other way around as part of the Jacobs Ladder loop 👍🏼
@@twowheels4689 Do you know where “sh*t bast*rd” climb is off Ladybower up to Win Hill? ….. as soon as you come out of the gate from the woods onto Win Hill just keep going forward and it’s straight in front of you 👍🏼
@@twowheels4689 No mate, if you climb up sh*t b*stard you’ll get to where you turn right and through a gate up a slight rocky climb that will bring you into some woods, follow that until you get to another gate that leads you into the open on Win Hill ….. once you’re here just go forwards and the descent is bang in front of you.
It never ceases to amaze me how you manage to ride down rutted trails at those speeds with total control pal, I can’t help but to clench my arse cheeks while I’m watching because I’m almost certain I’d be OTB, job well done buddy 🙏🙏🫡🫡
Well from what I’m seeing, it is skill 🫡 I know for certain it would have gone tits up for me long ago, it happened on Jacobs Ladder and resulted in a broken thumb, I was lucky as it could have been much much worse, I did 6 weeks of MTB’ing in the Peak District so it was worse ☹️☹️
@@yorkneytrailrider1751 Haha I’ll take the compliment cheers buddy 👍🏼 Aye I’ve broken bones and been knocked unconscious a few times it’s all part and parcel of this sport we love mate 😍
Flipping eck, I don’t want any of those kind of injuries, I suppose I’m too over cautious and anal about crashing to the extent that it spoils my riding, when I retire I might be more cavalier about it because if I break any bones I won’t have to worry about being off work again, bloody work, there should be a law against it 😉
@@yorkneytrailrider1751 Aye it’s to a point where there’s a fine balance between riding and crashing I guess 😂 I’m old enough now to ride within my limits and try not to take too many risks. Would be good not to have to worry about work eh pal and just ride!
Any chance I can have the GPX too. Seems a popular request and a great video too. Is it possible to pop it in the description. I put all my strava and jkamoot ones in there
Thanks for the comment buddy, I’ve just accepted your Strava request hope you enjoy the ride if you do it. I did think about putting the Strava link in the description but then I forgot 😂
Awesome video Ian and again some of them I’ve never seen before let alone ridden, you can guess what’s coming next can’t you 😁 Any chance you can email the GPX file please buddy 🙏
It means a lot Ian, I really appreciate you sending me the GPX files, this ride looks brilliant and it’s been like forever since I last rode in this area ☹️
Big difference the dried out trails are for riding on - looked like some excellent single track with some tech rock features thrown in for good measure with some incredible views of the Peak District, thanks for sharing Ian! 😁🤙
@@IanCran76 also ace not have to do so much cleaning 😂Been doing a power of travelling the past couple of weeks from the isle of Arran to riding down Sgor Gaoith in the Cairngormsm will be posting the next couple of weeks 😁
Thanks for the comment buddy, it’s. a fantastic loop and it does get a little rocky at times but that’s the fun part lol I’ve always slowed down and give a little shout to let other people know I’m coming, as you say there are many out there who don’t and end up giving us mtbers a bad name.
