Not a bad album by any means but I can't vibe with this one as much as Levels or Welcome To The Chaos. I felt like they had the formula down perfectly with the metalcore, hard rock, electronic, and hip-hop elements for their first two records but this one just kind of felt like they tried to go in a more alternative rock kind of route and it just came across as them playing it too safe. Trying to listen to it again to see if my mind changes but I still thought that most of the singles released for this album were really good.
one of the nicest guys in metal and one of deathcores greatest pioneers, amazing drummer in the early days, and great vocalist and band leader since his transition to vocals.
George Kolias's drumming is, as stellar as is possible! Easily their finest, most technically evolved record yet! And releasing the same day as Fleshgod's Opera, that was a great day!❤🤘😃🤘
Agreed. Reviewing records you hate is such a waste of time. They do it because they're pressured to on their Patreon and social media, and they want the views/engagement. This means a lot of good records go unadressed resulting in mediocrity for all. It's also just philosophically bankrupt, because defining yourself by what you hate is a recipe for misery. Thanks, yall.
@@HeavyDebriefings that's absolutely awesome I'll have a look, seriously I came across sabaton after I woke from a 3 week I think coma and I got neuropathy in my right hand and left foot up to my knee and they've helped me to be less depressed about the loss and to put my mind into something else and have started learning about history more and more
If you would sample some music in short(it's fair use, if you dont know) that would be cool asf. I'm subscribing to see how your channel grows, cheers mate!
Good luck! Relax and heal up, this was great. KAYAS & IMMORIUM are fantastic, totally missed em. I come here for a different perspective, and it always pays off.
great she enjoyed Crimson Glory, however I and many fans are of the feeling, their 2nd record, Transcendence is where they and Midnight peaked. I think she's going to have to follow-up and report back once she hears Transcendence. Also, when Andre Matos and co. left Angra in 1999, Midnight was 1 of the names I was hoping might replace him. Also ProgPowerUSA in 2009 they did a great tribute to Midnight with a Video montage and performance. Also very much looking fwd to the new album. Their new singer sounded really good singing some of the old tunes. 1 other sad death in the news besides Jack Russell (who I loved on his Analog Kid Rush tribute with Portnoy). GREG KIHN of the Greg Kihn band who did "The Breakuo Song" and "Jeopardy" which Weird Al Parodied...also the likes of Phil Donahue and the keyboardist of Ulver today RIP.
With The Metal Faerie's love 9f 80s sleeve riffs, I had to start her with the S/T. I think she'll dig transcendence as well. I missed all those deaths whole I was in the ER today. Damn
@@HeavyDebriefings ah, sorry to hear, on your bday no less. Back problems? I have been going through some as well. It's not fun. PT seems to help though. Oddly I actually was at BestBuy in Richfield near the Corporate office last Wednesday and thought of you and TMF Hopefully you can celebrate your birthday in belated fashion at the point you're feeling better
I can only assume that's on your end as it sounds just fine even on my phone. And there is a written version I do every week as well. Here is this version: heavydebriefings.weebly.com/written-material/out-today-what-i-missed-for-may-3rd-2024

Wow, thank you very much! I've been doing this series since the end of January, so there's 300 more albums I covered this year so far. Hope you keeping finding some new music to dig.
I like your channel i like the progressive/death metal genre Jeff from H TOWN i will check out the new paralydium as i have theyre first album and its real good and also the Aphelion sound very interesting
I've covered a ton of all those genres this year. This week was just a bit more eclectic. Check them out and see if there's anything you missed or anything I haven't heard yet.
Agreed. As a long-time fan, I really enjoyed this record a lot. Especially after being lukewarm on their last record. It's a meat-and-potatoes release but it distills everything great about them down to a brisk 28 minutes.
This was a great show. The Mantle - please do more shows and a tour - everyone needs to see how amazing you all are. I love your vibe and can’t wait for the album release. I love how you all compliment each other so well . ❤
Been listening to Metal Gods for about five days and of course they totally delivered. Guitar riffs are so catchy, fantactic shredding solos, rhythm section is so tight and the vocal are incredible. Production makes this album jump right out of your speakers. Insane is one of my favorite tracks too, and man do I love the riffs on Fighting in the Night. Very Saxon/Priest with a little heavier modern sound. I don’t consider Dream Evil Power Metal, they may do 1 song pet album that you could classify as power metal, but I totally agree with you , their just straight up a Classic Heavy Band. Love your reviews! 🤘😎
Yeah it's a brilliant album but this is a bullshit review. Probably Ai. Mike Semesky does vocals on this, maybe Chris is on backing vocals somewhere? I don't really know. He was on their first album.
I'm not AI. If I made a mistake, fine, but I'm not fake. Every review and response I saw for the album had that information. I apologize to the band for any misinformation.
Nine years and no comments, WTF. Nice interview mate, it's always good to hear Gregor not hold back with the truth lol PL's cover of Missing by Everything But The Girl was a nice surprise when I first heard it. Keep up the good work!
