@@papakias3922 I guess you didn't understand that I wrote in Turkish? Let me translate. This music tells about a pain. And the Greeks say it belongs to them. Here is the real HARMANDALI..In Turkish, the verb ÇALMAK has two meanings. One is PLAY, the other is STEAL.. There is no one better than you in playing. You really play very well. It is impossible not to congratulate you. If you knew the subject of this Zeybek, would you still play it? It was built by King Alexander in Izmir/Menemen on June 16-17, 1919, for a hero from the village of Menemen/Harmandalı who opposed the massacre of 2100 innocent Turks. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wPXzSII2ba4.htmlsi=Sjc4oVpeOH3IkkjR Zeybek belongs to the Turks. Greeks come to our villages every summer in Turkey and research and present our musical dishes as their own. In fact, according to Fallmerayer, Nakracas and many other historians, it has remained in history like ancient Greece, Hittite-Assyrian etc. I recommend you to read Nikos Gianidis' article in Etnos newspaper dated 24.3.2024. If you cannot find it, I will send you the Greek copy. Despite this massacre, the church in MENEMEN was restored and given to the Fener Patriarchate. Please read the 59th article of the Lausanne Treaty. Despite all this, we took care of the Greek refugees who came to our western shores during the Second World War in our camps. We sent food, fuel, clothing, medicine and vaccines to Athens by ship twice a week. We also brought 4000 Greek citizens to Turkey. There was no sugar or cloth in Turkey at that time. Bread and gas were given with ration cards.
@@yakupkeser248 I read your comments elsewhere mentioning the background and I am aware of the attrocities that the Greek army did during the Asia Minor campaign. My objection was on why would Michalis Kouloumis would stop playing it, if he knew about the backstory. I am sure that he knows the backstory of the song. And I can't see anywhere presenting it as "his own" or as "greek". Music has been a big common factor of our cultures and I think you should see it positively that a Cypriot is playing a Turkish song with such deep backstory. In fact, I see in the comments many Turkish people giving congratulations to Michalis for his exquisite and respectfull performance.
@@papakias3922 Didn't you read the text below? It says Lesbos and the Aegean islands. You can't steal my culture. You say we have common music and food.
