Posting videos of my travels, vlogs, reviews, and slideshows from a geek/nerd/otaku point of view! What originally started as a video for a friend who couldn't make it to an anime convention (and as a social experiment for my psychology major), I'm doing the same for people who wish they were there themselves. Aside the vlogs, gives you a POV (Point of View) look in being in my fun misadventures from this amateur RU-vid vlogger! Draw filming influences from Werner Herzog and Les Stroud in a Tableau vivant/Living picture style (Pageant of the Masters).
Current equipment: - Canon Powershot A2200 (720p30/14mp) - Like to be portable and compact when I travel. I am not doing these videos for money or fame but instead documenting the enjoyment and fun of these experiences.
Wonderful video, very detailed! Do you have any experience with Lumica’s Daisenko Blade 300? I’m still having trouble choosing between that and the Kingblade X10V, but I assume since they’re so similar the comparisons transfer over. Is there one that you end up preferring to take to Lives? (if you don’t just use your event-specific lights lol)
So, when you got into the merch line did they check for your ticket? I'm curious because I have one but I am thinking of giving it away to a friend when I go to my concert day, I just want to get merch at this point now. At least I went to the 2016 one when they came to Chicago with the hologram.
No, they didn't as it was a mixed merch line. From the video, they merge the VIP and GA lines back and you get called by the salesperson. The only time they do ask for your ticket (actually a confirmation email) is when you're picking up your vip bag at a different time at a separate line.
Excellent video all around! And I'm glad you managed to get a penlight! Mind you, I've had my penlight for years, having bought mine for the cancelled 2020 Expo, and while the film set would've been nice, I chose to just let it go. I take it everyone still had a good time?
Normally, I'm not a materialistic person, but if I ever want a souvenir such as Miku Expo, it's always going to be a penlight. So yes, I've collected the Miku Expo penlights since they finally issued one in 2016. I also have the 2020 (as shown in this video), to which I jokingly would say "the only time I ever used the 2020 penlight was to test it out and put it back in its original packaging". Oh yes, everyone had a fun time. Our displeasure was of course the whole merch line reshuffle. It was considered a minor issue but it wasn't enough to make Miku Expo a bad experience. Some of us even joked on the idea (when compared to the previous shows in this tour) that we avoided the so called "Crunchyroll curse" or "Miku Expo 2024 curse". Of course if you ignore the LED substitute.
A comparison between the 2016 and 2024 penlights would be interesting. I've noticed that my 2016 penlights have been having issues changing colors now. Not sure if its an age thing or something is misaligned. What I've noticed about the 2024 penlights is that there is practically no difference in the red, orange and pink colors (no character film inserted) and they are not as bright at the 2016 penlights. I still prefer my 2016 ones after all these years.
The fact that I watched this as a young 15 year old, dreaming of cosplaying as Midori and doing a photoshoot with Alex…and now knowing what he has done (but to be honest, I was not that surprised to know) but that shows you hope vulnerable teenagers are when they like someone’s work. It’s disgusting.
To be honest, I was for the game not the person. Some of us are comparing the status of the game to Duke Nukem (you can look it up in what i mean). And like games, newer game ideas come up and we all move on. I mean is the simulator genre still a thing in 2023?
I have a very crucial question somewhat relating to this video . I've been looking for almost 2 days now and I haven't dug up anything yet , so hoping this may be it . I was a Chibi Moon cosplayer back in 2014 at this particular convention , I was roughly 6 years old at the time & I was one of the masquerade participants - and i need to know if at any point on day 3 you saw me at any point . Please 😭
Can you make a video about comparing a hatsune miku penlight and a king blade one 1? im really curious if the king blade one 1 will be dim enough to use to a vocaloid concert (because the penlight is very dim compared to regular king blades.)
Would be hard to do as I don't have a lot of free time like I use to. A lot has changed since I've made this video such as the newer "Globe" lights. Hard to find not to mention expensive when I do find one. The only king blade penlight I had (gave it to a friend) was the x10v model which is basically a bluetooth version of an x10ii. Perhaps in some future when I get the time, maybe I can try comparing with the ONE 1.
I'm not a fan og Alex and I have heard A LOT bad things about him but this video still warms my heart up to bad he hasn't finished the game and i wish we still could be in that time when he weren't hated for yk those specific things that he has done and said
Hey! Would you be so kind and tell me the exact dimensions of the badge? So the width, height & thickness as well as the unit in which you have measured, thank you!
pretty much. it's basically a bluetooth version of a King Blade X10III. Perhaps the additional plus with the bluetooth is controlling the colors on your phone. I haven't touched them since. however realized there isn't a whole lot tutorials for the X10V compared to the X10II and X10III. But in the end, it all falls to preferences.
A lot of good information, but believe the most important aspect that most buyers want to know is if the light can closely mach their favorite idol's character image color. 😁 BTW, do you think testing them in a brown cardboard box, instead of a white one, threw off any of the measurements?
