Awesome hunt! Thanks for sharing. It's sad to know that all of this will be coming to an end by the time our grandkids can hunt. Just from reading all of the comments on DIY hunts, it won't be the anti-hunters that bring hunting to an end, it will be the hunters themselves that have nothing good to say and choose to devour each other like we are all enemies instead of realizing that we are on the same team.
Look, it was interesting, yet 3 trebles?????? So if you do not hook the fish you surgically slice therm open like a meat shredder! Small mouth are everywhere.. it's the elusiveness of walleye, the wary trout that's seen it all, the quest to get a muskie everyone knows is there, yet no one has seen! Being uprepaired casting for salmon or trout, and have a northern hit the second you end your retrieve getting ready to cast again, Destroying your rig your line cut, your rig laying in the 6 inches of water that monster ambushed in! Giving a spin around tail splash exit as you try not to step on your jaw! Or the time you hooked into a big trout. Thinking 10lbs.. or better you hang on. Finally you see it! The biggest German Brown Trout you ever saw! You almost shit yourself! Suddenly a trout on the line turned into, " Oh God ! " " Please let me have this one? " Afraid. To breathe, speak, or make any sudden movements you gather yourself thinking " OH God....... Oh God " quietly while digging up the confidence you got this! The net is questionable at best. The lake your fishing has a no body to water contact rule. Meaning it's against the law to wash your hands in the water. The net has to do l. There it is, here she comes! Curled, both head and tail stick out the net. You have carried your combo Tape measure/digital scale 17lbs.6 oz! Yes! You release the monster with a tear. There's a personal best, I will never break! Or that barblessb rules challenge that leaves you in tears most of the time! Now that's fishing!
@@jacobosborne8713 I think he's from Iron River. I know he guides on lakes other than Lake Superior, but I'm not sure about all of his locations he guides out of. He'll ask you your target species, and go off of that. I was chasing trout, but cought multi species (trout, burbot, whitefish, and even hooked a sturgeon but lost him at the hole). I went with him twice. Once early season, and once late. We did great both times.

Got hooked on this last season and went back several times. Absolute blast!!! JJ and his team were willing to teach, determined to make sure we had fun and that goes a long way for a guided trip. Will be back again with friends!!!!
Ask anyone who used the old beaver dams and they will agree, the old ones were better, before ACME. Thats also why older models still demand a higher price.
