Have a seat, grab a drink, and dive into the world of tabletop with new games each month. This channel will offer game prep, live-play, custom accompanying cocktails, character creation, and retrospectives.
this was amazing - the quality of the production, players were fun and the warden nate did an awesome job. The use of props were next level. well done team, subbed.
wow! what a great warden and misfit team of players. Everybody excelled in their areas. Great inspiration on how to lead a game, giving enough story, and characters and letting the players run their characters. And really enjoyed the ongoing tussle amongst the players in/out of characters. Quality of a conversation is among it's stupid jokes so hail to the all rimworlders out there
That warden does a really good job of making every interaction seem natural- dude is smooth. Rachel seems really irritated though... not jiving well with the other players at the table.
Loved the stream, im really intrigued by this system! Level with me tho, did we just roll terribly or is the system more or less designed to make it harder to succeed for horror purposes?
Yeah, chances of success in Mothership are lower than say in D&D. This is as you said partly for horror reasons, but also to incentivise players to come up with strong plans--strong enough to avoid rolls. Like, a really well thought out trap that accounts for all relevant variables might not require any rolls, for example.
I love this set-up, love to see gamers with drinks, so cool! And also fair editing huh! Enjoyed this video overall! But wanna point out some mistakes for reference of the viewers. You have too much stealing engagements that's why the game took longer than it should have. @10:49 If the Demon King landed to a space or an a space NEXT to you, you would go to the dungeon. So if both players are in the space of Demon's King landing and/or a space space next to it, both go to the dungeon. @27:46 If you want to steal a treasure card from someone in the Key Location, you have to defeat the monster first to enter that Key Location. Everytime you enter a Key Location, you have to stop at the Black Dagger Space to fight a monster. @28:04 you have to throw a dice and move away right after you steal an item to escape. @29:02 you cannot leave a Key Location from the other side and then enter it right away in the very same turn. @32:20 You cannot steal an item at a white dagger space. Why? Because you need to escape after you steal. If you land on a white dagger space, you have to either: a.) immediately resolve the hazard so you cannot just steal an item there because your in the middle of your moves and not yet in landing, or b.) you have to immediately end your turn right away after you resolve the hazard, thus making you ineligible to steal an item because in order to steal, you have to escape by rolling the dice once more and move away but you are forbidden to do that in a white dagger space as rules says you have to end your turn immediately. @35:32 stop at the water edge and roll the dice to cross, keep rolling and moving until you cross to the other side (or fall if landed in a space with no planks) @44:44 it's a cool move though, but it's against the rules because those rocks is only used if someone fell down the broken bridge. The rules for evil tower bridge says you have to roll the dice and move and keep rolling and moving until you cross it unless you landed on a broken plank. @52:20 We do not steal items on the whirlpools, why? because those players who made it in the whirlpools is on special throws, they have to leave the whirlpools on their next turns that makes the whirlpools not really their landing spaces but just like a hazard space. The instructions which states the STEALING ON ANY SPACE really made so much conflicts with other Rules. It is one main flaw of this Game thus we have to ignore the word "ANY" to play this game more accurate and abiding with the general rules. @53:17 the adventurer who jumped first into the whirlpool will throw the dice and move away on his NEXT turn. @1:00:32 you cannot move over the Demon King. If he is blocking you, you have to move the other direction. @1:00:42 the red adventurer has to be in the Black Hole Empty Space and not in the whirlpool. He must roll 8or1 in his next 3 turns to get out of the empty hole. JUST our TIP: Don't use that Black Plastic Rings on whirlpools. It doesn't really make sense. It makes the gameboard less to reality. The artwork of board game is amazing and inclusion of those plastic rings doesn't make justice. And use the Black Pop-out Cardboard Circle everyime you flip the Board to cover the empty circular space so the board would look better and look complete.
"00" on a d10 is 10 not zero, when reading it as a single die. So Kenneth's fight should have been 10 points higher. Haven't watched all the way through yet, but it might be important in future endeavors.
I chuckled every single time @galacticsalvage8516 had to make a sanity check to do with androids. As somebody about to host their first M.S one-shot this was an amazing playthrough!! Thanks!
This production was awesome! I’m getting ready to run this one shot for my friends, and it’s so hopeful to see an example of a group with great chemistry having a great time and demonstrating the rules in play. Bravo! Liked and subscribed
