The only way that children could watch Carlin and Robin Williams was on television. Their live performances would have so many curse words that sailors and Marines couldn't keep up.

It's just sad that he became a bitter old man after losing his wife. His act started as insightful and whimsical, but toward the end of his life he was angry and hatful.
I just dicovered george, and what a pleasure. I usually enjoy finding things that have run its course that i like, so that i can binge watch it. But in this case i coulda use this influence earlier. But a pleasure just the same.
@@randymiller4978 Wow crazy you just discovered him! Hard for me to believe since he's been part of my life for decades. I just discovered Doug Stanhope. He's been doing comedy since the early 90s I think. Only been listening to him a couple months and I put him up in the same league as George.
His voice was so mellifluous here. Although it had gotten a little rougher as he aged, one could still sense great diction and honesty as always from this man. Best stand up comic ever, in my humble opinion.
I mean hell, it’s the very reason he voiced the narrator for Thomas the Tank Engine for so long. His voice was always kind of rough, yet extremely comforting in a strange way. One of the most recognizable and hard to replicate voices of all time ❤️

how was he in tune with the band at the end? he didnt have a reference pitch or anything...did the band match him? did he just happen to be in tune with standard a=440 equal temperament?
