Hatching Asksvin eggs in crypts and the Queens Citadel to help fight seems like a lot of effort for one fight. My tactic was to setup training areas for elemental and blood magic Trap a stone golem in a hole, build a base around him with comfort for 300% eitr regen and blast him with the staff of frost to lvl elemental magic skill quickly Find a draugr village in the meadows with at least 2 spawns, seal off and protect the spawners, build a shooting platform with comfort zone between them. Spawn in skeleton archers (kill the melee ones) protect the spawners with iron/lots of stone. Watch your blood magic go up.
Yes and no. The crypt eggs are just for testing the process. The Queen ... well how to make a boss fight relaxing? I watched the pacifist playthroughs and enjoyed the concept and conceit so wanted to do something similar and just try a relaxed playthrough so tamed creatures to help with the fights is very useful for that.
Back in my day we used to edit and cut videos, now we just record 60 minutes and speed it up 6x. Gotta be over 10 mins for the monetization that you don't get till 10k subs.
Yeah, obviously this hasn't been done for monetization because as you say not enough subs for that. Generally if I've sped it up because it's not very interesting, as in this video. I do post videos with just the "interesting" thing that happened but I want an ENTIRE uncut playthrough uploaded for completeness sake.
@@dotdot7911 Nothing really happens ... just wandering around getting iron. However I do want to post the entire playthrough without any gaps. In addition it's a quicker upload to RU-vid.
Why, thank you so much!! I'm really not that good, which is why I chose to make a "relaxing" playthrough as it doesn't need me to demonstrate my non existent skills
Unfortunately you can't activate the power while also steering the boat. So, instead of possibly having to stop steering. activate power, start steering at a potentially crucial moment I just decided to do it earlier than absolutely necessary
The metal traps seem very expensive and for much larger prey - say you wanted to farm a "troll spawner" - the dvergr spikes would work well ... but why bother cheap stakes work and are easy and cheap.
Yeah, fully armoured, all the food, ready to fight my way through ... and the deathsquito is the only and minor annoyance! Reminds me of going hiking ready for bear and all you get are mosquitos!
I remember when I couldn't defeat bonemass because I was in a server and there were 8 people in it, I wanted to solo him but it was just too much, his HP was too high. I got pissed and made 70 storm shelters up a mountain where I tamed wolves. By the time I was back to defeat bonemass, I had 20 wolves, all 2 stars. Bonemass turned into cartilage puddle.
I have tried regular wolves against bonemass and it didn't go well, the poison really got to them fast. Did you lose any wolves? or did them being 2 star overwhelm bonemass too quickly to matter?
Yes, you can ... now ... this was made prior to the Hildr update so missing lots of great updates. Autostacking was a great upgrade as was the building upgrades. As soon as the upgrades to a level 3 forge etc. were available I upgrade.
It's always an option, but this playthrough I'll do on the standard settings. I definitely think that if you are going to make a custom settings world I would up the resource rate, though I'd really like to be able to do it in conjunction with other changes. My current preference is hard or very hard combat, double resources, no portal restrictions. If I could I really want to link the drop rate to the mob only drops.
Make a dragon bed for better comfort rating and rested bonus. Also once you get 2 more eggs put some in a troll cave with a campfire so they cannot be killed in a raid.
Extra comfort is on the to do list. Egg safety is an often overlooked issue. I am fairly confident that my subterranean chicken coops are safe. But I will definitely make sure I have back up eggs.
In my experience any sword works better as its damage is not divided between what is hit - mobs or other. The silver sword can be crafted early and works well enough. Frostner is also good in the Mistlands and a black metal sword might be slightly better. The Mistwalker is even better but obviously requires you to have done much more Mistlands content and grinding.
Sorry ... it's Valheim ... it's not "interesting" all of the time but I wanted to upload an entire playthrough so the boring bits I've just done at 4x speed. Basically multiple days are sped up.
Yeah, a bit silly. the root armour basically makes you immune to deathsquitos which is why I chose that over anything else. Food was a mistake, I think everyone eventually makes that mistake at least once - like tree deaths ;-)
@@sysdollarsystem Make occational Poles with spike traps, run around it when you see deathsquito or bring a big hammer, and time it when you see the deathsquito coming, those get em all in one hit before you get hit, bring metal armor for the bisons, even with maxed out iron they can two shot you. Good luck
Thanks for the suggestions. I've never tried a hammer AoE for getting rid of deathsquitos. I'll give that a try as it might be more relaxing in terms of timing and as you say can kill more than 1. The lox are fun ... wild ones I generally use them to clear tar pits in the plains but otherwise I just try to tame them as they are so useful.
In this game you get constantly humbled😂 First time in the swamp and you're like ohhh these guys can fuck me up Then you get fucked everytime being chased by wolves Then moskitos and the little green dudes fuck you up so bad Then the end game is just a joke😂
The stagbreaker is such a lifesaver early game - a friend of mine figured that out and I kicked myself for not using it sooner. Just found you on reddit, glad to have another playthrough to watch 👍 (might take me a bit though, because I'm playing too :)
