The amount of information on this that is lacking is phenomenal. How does this system work with fire in more than one compartment. How does it work if the door is open or the ceiling has already failed giving larger volumes of air to draw upon? In short, this is a unitasker. Why would I choose to reconnect this, when we know a conventional handline flowed at 150-180 gpm or more will drop the same fires they are showing, in less than 30 seconds, and yet still give you a line you can reach into attic spaces or walls for extension.

This makes no sense. You have to fog water in to cover the burning material, while the other nozzle pulls all the gasses out. A straight stream from a booster line could have soaked that entire room in 10-15 seconds. The gasses would continue out those windows.

Can this be done with a smoothbore nozzle?

Wow! What was the fire load and how fast did it make the interior conditions more survivable for occupants ?

Hi Kevin. As the fire load, we had chairs, a table and the like. After 2 min conditions were much better into the house and the fire was extinguished

How it Works • Hydroventeurope is put in place from the outside by a single Firefighter and left unmanned. • Hydrovent will then ventilate thousands of CFM (m3) of smoke and air • The ventilation nozzle uses approximately 95 gpm (380 l/m) and the Suppression nozzle uses approximately 30 GPM (120 l/m) • Hydroventeurope can be used from basement through high rise and roof cuts • The supression nozzle can be shut down without closing the ventilation • Hydroventeurope can even be used to break windows for effective placement Hydroventeurope Stats • 95 GPM (380 l/m) fog out (Ventilation) - Approx. 30 GPM (120 l/m) in (Suppression) • Weight 15 lbs. +- (7kg) • Meant to be placed into the fire room from the outside • Hydraulic ventilation (Fog) out through the fire room - pulling heat and smoke out away from FF & Victims • Suppression simultaneously (fine-grained fog) into the fire room - softening the fire - Dropping temperatures - Slowing fire growth and fire extension • Entry point - FF’s bring fresh air in with them - Flow path is directed out through the fire room • Protects exposures - Fog • Can be utilized to break windows and can be easily placed in Basement-1st-2nd - roof and high-rise ventilation openings.
