I genuinely commend your English bc it beats my broken German by infinity. One thing, however, in English, it REE--view. Long E sound. Love how you did these comparisons. One of the few effective and helpful pedal comparisons online. VERY well done. Ty for your work. God Bless.
I have wanted a Jazzmaster my whole life, the closest I got was one of those Jaguar thinlines from the late 2000s. But everytime I hear that bridge I am already planning impossible mods.
Well done on the video. I have one of these in Sonic Blue I purchased last year. Although it appears to be setup properly and signed off by a QA person at G&L in USA apparently, the guitar does not stay in tune at all when using the wammy bar. New strings, stretched on install, using the bar for light vibrato, some strings just do not come back in tune. The electronics are not very durable either. After about 2 months of playing, the switch barely works. The bridge pickup is also very weak and thin compared to the middle and neck pickups. You have to have the bass control all the way up for it to sound decent. Doing so however makes the other pickups way too bassy. Always have to fiddle with the bass control when switching between pickups. Pulling on the treble knob to activate neck and bridge pickups together almost requires pliers to pull up. I’ve been playing guitar since I’m 12 and still playing at 64. Played semi-professionally from the age of 17 to 32 so I’m pretty familiar and versed on quality of guitars. Sure an affordable G&L, but what’s the point if you have to spend a fair amount of money to fix setup, change electronics, pickups, and possibly tuners?
Got the impression the lemon drop was tuned for blues , always vheck the pickups numbers in vintage guitars , theres a few , the mick ronson is an all out rock guitar , the hot black pickups suit it ,
Would this be suitable for spaghetti western style guitar playing? I guess that's where the trem would come in handy possibly? May look at picking one up for fun. Thanks for the review!
