Very interesting. Dr Stephanie, I can see this everyday.... India has been the most colonised country - for the last 1000 years. Not just physically tortured colonisation, the mental colonisation of self-hatred, of looking down on one's own civilisatopnal history, it is at humongous proportions today. We have still to devise the vocabulary to capture the scale of destruction of the human spirit! Surprising that we even survived! That directly affects population health.... eg. large scale malnutirion, large scale compromise of hygiene which directly connect back to centuries of colonisation and loot! I wish we had our own public health theorists working on this!
Wow... you have put into words my feelings. As the parent of a young man with autism I am so sad that his neuro diversity is always seen as the problem. His struggles in the educational system always seen as his problem rather than the educators lack of expertise. Thankyou for validating our struggle.
Ty very much for this helpful video. If you don't mind me asking, I'm curious to get your views in regard to some places intentionally placing barriers, ie charging a fee, to Covid testing for those who have refused vaccinations. Knowing that continued testing is such a vital tool for prevention and provides much needed information during a deadly pandemic for the whole of society, I am distressed to hear these barriers are now being used, it seems, as a form of punishment at the expense of public health. A reactionary act which appears to cut off their nose to spite their face. While I believe testing, vaccinations and health care should be free to all if a society is to behave ethically, I think options such as charging a higher rate of private health insurance to the unwilling, or having to pay a fee to cover additional risks in order to participate in certain public activities, would be less harmful to society at large. Thank you again for your content and taking the time to read this 😊
Does anyone still doubt natural herbs? I've seen the great importance of natural supplements and the wonderful work they have done in people's lives. I wonder why people still spend their money on surgery, injections and drugs each time they are sick. Natural herbs can cure all kinds of diseases and virus contact RU-vid channel Dr Oko Ofenmu for more information
Fantastic explanation and really nice framework-metaphor for thinking and privilege, inequity, allyship, solidarity, and ethical public health practice.
