Great video. How do you ventilate the metal roof at the soffits? Can you use the profile vent for the metal roof end to provide even air flow on the roof?
Think about the cars you have owned and which colors show dirt more than others. Generally, dark colors show dirt worse than light colors. Hope this helps. I have installers I can recommend if you need that.
Great video. My house is approximately 1.6 miles from the Pacific Ocean in Southern California, do I need an aluminum roof or can I install a galvanized metal roof?
Holds level and declares wall level in the vertical plane, I prefer my wall to be plumbed.. I’d guess if you asked about the gauge of the product you’d get a tutorial on his ear lobes , if you asked about color and pattern options you’d hear all about tattoos.. 💯👉🏼🤡
Hello, we do carry it in white and many other colors. The video was only highlighting our wood print series. You can see our catalog here: 6069238.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net/hubfs/6069238/pdf/4222-23-metal-board-and-batten-catalog.pdf
Nice video Thanks. At the near end of the video, the photo of the garage door in the living area on the outside deck the black and glass door. What is the namebrand and or you still using the same one or have y’all found one that is maybe as good or even better.?
Why is eave flashing on top of roof paper instead of under. Also if foam closure strip is sealed with butyl tape how would any water getting under roof get out?
Hello, check their website: thebarndominiumcompany.com They have amazing plans for Barndominiums. We sell the metal roofing and siding commonly used for these projects. WesternStatesMetalRoofing.com
I understand what you are saying, but there are also so many headaches and no warranty when using Bonderized. If you want the look of Bonderized, but without the problems, we now have a painted product that's a spot on match. It has PVDF paint finish and has a paint warranty. Here's some more info if you're interested. www.westernstatesmetalroofing.com/bonderized-steel-bonder-paint
You don't need a heavier gauge. What happens is that when you decide to go with a PVDF it means you are choosing the highest quality and often standing seam. A more expensive product. It would not make sense to spend all this money on both the best paint and the most expensive panel and than lessen the gauge. Also more chance of oil canning with 26 gauge standing seam. The assumption is if you want PVDF you most likely want a heavier gauge. As a mfg. we can only inventory so many items. Nobody that I know of inventories 26 gauge PVDF as there is almost no demand for it. Hope that helps.
Hello, We have some new colors since that video was made also. I'll send you a link for samples and a link to see all of the colors. $70 sq foot is the shell cost not the turn key cost, it's easy for non builders to hear that and then pass on the details incorrectly. I don't think any builder is saying that to any customer.

I haven't started the project yet, but I have a question. What do you do if the metal edging extends 2-3' further than brick wall that the edging should butt up against? Do you bend and it breaks, are there ways to adjust the length of the piece, etc.
On their website it said to overlap the two pieces at an intersection instead of butting them up to each other to avoid cutting. The longer piece would be in the back, the stake would cover the seam like usual
What direction do you overlap if the prevailing (most common direction) wind is not as strong (like a southern summer breeze) as a very strong and gusty cold front wind (from the north) that doesn't last as long? And couple that with very strong winds from any direction during a severe thunderstorn any time of the year?
Why do the videos I find always show the end of the roof the has the side of the panel with the extra "foot" tab along the edge that can be screwed down, but none show the end of the roof that has the shorter overlap edge and how to fasten it or trim it if there is too much overhang over the end of the roof?
It depends on a lot of factors, but without knowing anything about the job, shingles $3-6 per square ft., Corrugated metal = $6-10/Sq. FT., standing seam = $10-14/Sq ft
When lapping panels "away from prevailing winds," which winds do you consider to be "prevailing?" The wind you get for most of the year, like from the South and Southeast during the summer, or the stronger, short-term wind from the North or Northwest when a cold front goes through, or the strong wind from any direction depending on the current weather conditions (thunderstorms, hurricane or other strong low pressure area system passing close by, or overhead, on any side of your house resulting in strong winds from different and changing directions?)
