This is one of the few examples that the RU-vid algorithm did something right. In Phuket and Pattaya we have a lot of Russian people and Russian stores. Knowing some basic Russian sure would come in handy. I'm sure that my serbo-croatian background will make learning Russian easier.
The definition of grammar - given at the beginning of the video - is more apt to describe only morphlogy, which is just a part of grammar. It does not give an account of syntax, for example. However, good video, thanks.
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate it. I use practical approach though rather than academic. Trying to make life of those poor people learning Russian easier:)
"Откуда ты" [такой вот умный/резвый/борзый паноехал тут...] - я бы однозначно воспринял как агрессию/угрозу/наезд. Хотя сам последние шестьдесят лет живу в одном и том же благополучнейшем месте.
I had a crazy friend nicknamed worm who read all the Russian classics when he was in his teens to maybe early 20s and was trying to convince me to read them all and discuss them with him. I managed a few at the time (but in English) and was happier when he switched to early twentieth century American authors. They were a breeze by comparison. He became a librarian and an author, I did other things. He was fearless and wild as a child, probably inspired by what he read.
I personally prefer American literature much more. Russian classics is very depressing, sentimental and basically suicidal. Yes, there are some deep philosophical thoughts and meaning, but it has moved so far from the modern realities, while American classics still relevant, vivid and exciting.
@@Leonidas2009ful вроде не настолько примитивно. Имею ввиду что правила довольно чёткие, исключения в наличии, но слов не так много. Падежей 6, если не совсем забыл школьную программу. Да и там есть вопросы, что помогают, например, именительный (кто?). Звуки не так сильно отличаются от английского. Хотя логика построения предложений довольно сильно отличается (то мне мозг клинит, когда что-то членораздельное нужно написать или сказать по английски)
