The official RU-vid channel for Shure Systems. Shure wired and wireless solutions for AV conferencing, discussion, meetings, presentation, training, interpretation, hotels, convention centers, government and more. Sound Extraordinary.
A video about a software product that shows a total of 0 images of the software... I am still wondering how it works exactly after watching generic images of people in a meeting
Dear Shure, could you specify exactly how it works? Is the gain set based on average RMS over a period of time? How long? Is it affected by short, transient peaks? Does it limit peaks by itself, or is that done by a separate limiter or compressor? Thank you.
Great video. I work in the Audio Visual field and we just recently field tested this mic. It works incredibly well. We were in a non- treated acoustic space and the mic did pick up reflections off of walls, etc. I would imagine in a decently treated acoustic environment (like the room in this video) we will get much better results. The software is intuitive and very simple to use. Took me all of 3- 5 mins to grasp the basics and even separate the individual channels via DANTE to a QL5 for even more control. I do have a question. Does this mic perform better as a tile grid? In other words, is the technology based on a "boundary zone/ PZM" style mic? We literally had it hanging for a test run.
Greetings, thanks for the video, it is very informative and detailed... I am having problems in the installation of my conference room, after having followed all the steps, the microphones are not online and they do not capture the audio either, is there any way I can contact them for remote access and help me configure it?
It'd be nice if you had brochures, manuals, or anything else in the world that shows the technical aspects of these devices. How do they connect? How do they mount? How am I supposed to know if these work for my purposed when you don't give any information this stuff?!
Where is mic? This video is kinda ridiculous I love the back and forth , however have no idea of any setup . How far away is mic ? Are you using only one mic? Is it an 8 foot or 10 foot ceiling? What is required if self installed?
- Mic is in the ceiling in the middle of the room, visible in the wide shots at the top of the picture behind the wireless access point. It is painted black to blend with the rest of the ceiling, but you can notice where the LED of the mic is. - Mic is ~2.4-3m from each talker at any time. - Mic is visible in the Designer software schematic at 1:15. - There is only one mic. - Ceiling is 9ft. - All Microflex Ecosystem products are sold through certified systems integrators and distributors. - Sorry the video wasn't clear enough. Hope the answers clarify some things for you.
@@richardknott368 excellent delivery, as usual. Superb enhancement to the Shure line up. I believe it also does some clever noise cancellation of anything that isn't a human voice and I look forward to hearing it in action.
Do you just mean by them putting a video on RU-vid, they might get a kickback? So they shouldn't use RU-vid to promote their product? Seems like to have an ax to grind for some other reason...
@@ardbegthequestion No, I just mean I shouldn't have to skip an ad before I can watch what is essentially an ad. If a video is selling something, they shouldn't also try to get money from views. Love the handle, by the way. I've got a bottle of Uigeadail at home right now.
@@davidfinnamore3588 Hi David. Since 2021, RU-vid has begun placing ads on videos from channels that are not part of the RU-vid Partner Program (YPP). We are not part of YPP and do not monetize any of our videos on RU-vid.
In our environment, a "large" room would be 2-4x that one and have movable furniture that gets arranged by users ad-hoc. How would a system like this adapt to that?
Can we use this Ceiling Tile mics in combination with ceiling speakers also, or need to use with wall speakers only?? Also can we use this Tile mics for Audio reinforcement with in the room??

Hi i am one of system integrator specialized in AV/VC selling Shure products in KL. If you dont mind, would you like to discuss your requirement further with us ?
I like the comparison between the three but It sounds like the lobing was not configured evenly to match the other microphones, especially the 910 at the very end. It sounded like you were walking in and out of the lobed area.
the sound anomalies in this recording show the limits of mixing from varied sources - most people do not notice because they have become used to digital artifacts that accompany gating AEC and teleconferencing - the studio guy cannot be truly replaced with AI
we have installed about 6 of these units so far and I can say they work Great! We combine with Cisco Room Kit videoconference systems - and it allows you to forget about the tech behind microphones and just talk and be heard clearly - we have received compliments from remote people on the clarity/volume etc. We ended up changing the light from the bright green/red to a subtle white and we like the aesthetics more with that - but in any case - great product for us so far!
FYI, the rightmost rack mounted piece of gear next to the Polycom phone is either a prototype or a beta ASPI Digital EF200 Phone Hybrid circa 1998-1999. I'm pretty sure we (ASPI Digital) exchanged that for several pieces of Shure gear (SCM810 and SCM800) back in the day.
