Pushed mongo my whole entire skate career. I’m 37 years old and thinking about starting to skate again then I thought about all the people that used to ask me why I pushed Mongo. I’m not really sure if I want to learn to push or just start back up with Mongo I mean 37 not like I’m trying to go pro lol
Yeah personal choice! I skated on and off from like 11 until I was 19 before I decided to switch the habit. I am glad I did. It didnt really take that long to get comfortable. Just spend a day or two pushing down the street or around the park. Its all about training the leg muscle Now I can push both regular and mongo, but am more comfortable regular
@DadLeisureSkateboarding hahah I know right?? I've been to one other park that has a concrete section, but was mostly wood. Actually probably will last a very long time being indoor and concrete
Make some friends at another park you're comfortable with and go with them! Orr just go by yourself and make friends there 👍👍 I go to the skatepark alone all the time
@@XSProgression Thanks for the tips! I thought going alone might have been weird but knowing you do it too makes me think it's not that abnormal then haha i'm definitely hoping to make some friends at the parks i hit up!
@@XSProgression online. Actually, as an update, I skates a couple of really dirty spots, they got gunned up but they cleared out after skating some more and now they actually feel better. Interesting.
most of this is still here but a ton of new stuff too. there is more new stuff than there is stuff that is shown. there is a big clamshell and pumptrack by the quarter when you first came in. omar hassan did a fat frontside disaster all the way around the clamshell the one day i wasnt skating here. i have a video of a day when the guys that built most of this place showed up and totally shredded
@@elibest9997 no lights yet. you cant use the pump track it gets wet but there is the other 2/3 that doesnt. its a completely different park from this video. its in the same spot but its not empty there is banks etc everywhere . i always stay for 4 or 5 hrs until im beat
@@elibest9997 Its been a while since Ive been here, but I dont think there are lights and I wouldnt plan to go on a rainy day. Really fun park and there is even more built since this video was made, but Id head out early on a clear day for sure
My first time ever skating a park was at charm when I was 5.Was when it was relatively new. Got there early in the morning and no one was there and had the entire park to myself. Felt like being dropped in heaven. I still remember the smell of all the fresh masonite. This is back when the currant bowl was just a regular bowl but with a spine over to a mini ramp and then a line of progressively bigger halfpipe running the length of the building, and the other risde with the vert ramp wasn't even purchached yet. My brothers say they remember playing paintball there. Met a bunch of local pros skating the vert ramp back in 2017 when we found out they had a vert ramp.
That's such an awesome story! Wow that mustve been insane to have as your first skatepark! Thanks for sharing this memory and story with us. Can tell that was a significant moment in your life!
Hey bro I'm a beginner and want to know that does wheel socket need to move slightly to right and left so we can take turn right or left because I can't take turns with my skateboard?
Hey that should be the trucks that should be a bit looser (the big metal things holding the wheels). Loosen the nut in the middle just a little bit so the trucks can move. Then try leaning while riding to turn! Hope that helps!
well done mate! i have the same grade i would say after 1 year, and i am still there! the cool thing about climbing is, that once you realise that progress can be measured in so many more reliable ways than grades, you are always going to make progress, and it is almost never stale! and always fun! cool video, hyping me up for my session today!
This video came out practically a week before I started climbing and looking for hangboard. I noticed there weren't many videos on hangboard reviews and where to buy hangboard videos on youtube - would be great if you did a series on this, I'm sure many people would appreciate it! (p.s. after seeing your pullups, I can tell you clearly put in work to get to here - great job on that)
Hey thanks for the compliment on the pull ups! And glad the video helped ya out looking into hangboards! A series huh? What do you mean.. on different rock climbing gear?
Thanks bro! Yeah it was only closed for a week or two! Its still there from what I understand! Not in NJ right now so not fully sure, but havent heard anything about it being closed Go to Back Sov in Atlantic City on Saturday! They are having a demo with a few pros and product giveaways!
As much religous trauma I have from this church, this was an epic place. I miss Casey, he eas a really cool dude and i wish i could reconnect with him.
@@XSProgression my parents used it as a babysitter for me. And then the normal go to hell stuff and eternity fears people get from religion. Plus one of the youth pastors was a sex offender
@@Thatkidch13 Damn man thats so fucked up. I hope anyone that guy has hurt gets justice on him. Easy way to get into that eternal hell they are so adamant on scaring others about I remember checking out their website and it was like a horror movie trailer about the apocalypse coming
I was just here this weekend and had the funnest time lol most definitely will be making that hour trip again 😂 We drove an hour and 25 minutes from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania just to skate bc it was raining in our city lmfaoooo
they built that and Washington Twp in '96...the first parks in the area in decades. and even though it (Brig) was a terrible attempt at a park...it was something. we skated tons of various street spots, backyard ramps and of course great spots in AC...but it was just nice to have a park.
I didn't. I put bearing oil in them at the end (after this vid was filmed) it wasn't a good idea cause they were dirty. I wish I cleaned them before trying the oil These bearings were really great without cleaning and oil for a long time though. Just grab them from a reputable source
More ideal for BMX/scooter, but definitely skatable! I recommend you check out the Lynch Family skatepark practically in Boston as well if you'll be in MA regardless of your preferred skatepark sport!
