I was born in Balloch (Riverside Road) in 1962 but moved to Canada in 1964. My first trip back was 1980 and I fell in love with it. I still go back for visits but hate leaving it.
I was there two months ago.Balloch and the Lomond are always in my heart, and I'll go there again as soon as I can.I'm italian, I seen Scotland for the first time, it's a fantastic country!! Carla
Excellent wee video, quite cool watching and trying to figure out where everything is.. Its actually not changed that much.. Except everythings in colour these days !
This is brilliant - My family run a business in Loch Lomond Marina now - its amazing to see the old shed where we have just built a new workshop and showroom. And youll notice Jimmy Brittains old houseboat which is now over on John Sweeneys side since Jimmy passed away. He has resotred it and it looks even better now than it did then! I remember a lot of the old Balloch - the old station, Joes cafe at corner of the bridge on sweeneys side. Great to see - thanks for posting!
Brilliant... am sitting in a flat next to the Kingston Bridge looking out to Glasgow City Centre right now and i have to say, im proud of my city... and very proud to be descended from the peoples of the greatest nation on earth in my, and alot of learned peoples eyes. God bless Scotland The Brave.
My grandpa gave me a Will Fyfe vinyl ... its one of the best Scotch record I have (my favourites are Kenneth McKellar and ANDY STEWART <--- MY FAVOURITE!).
I remember the Victoria harbour in Greenock stuffed full of the tugs in the early 80's I always remember the Flying Phantom & Flying Buzzard sitting there.
Very good. Nice sequences and well put together. Take a look at my channel for a couple of recent sailing experiences around the firth. Keep up the good work!
Oh no! I recognised the balmoral and I've only been on it once when I was 12 with my granny. I' ve turned into a clyde shipping nerd aged 30 I'm too young! Nice tune, better than that noisy engine! See me at cosybike with a new use for the evolving clyde waterfront.
