was struggling to focus on my work today and thought "hey, there was that stardew guy i used to watch" but i just couldnt remember and now im here !! glad to watch your content again. i recently got into mistria too so its cool that you did too ^^ you have the type of playthroughs that are entertaining but not too distracting, and just the right amount of relaxing its rlly nice
Wait there is an intro scene now. Wow. I last played six months ago but i didn't restart,. Dang this gaming changes constantly, love it. Been following its progress for about 3 years i think, it has been super fun ride. This game is so precious.
♥ I always tell the truth with that Demetrius and Maru cutscene... "you're dad's being weird". It doesn't seem to make any difference but it always makes me feel better letting Maru know. LOL
I have a chuckle every time I see you fill machines with one item. I believe they can all process more than one at a time .. especially if same type and grade.. some can do multiple grades.. try it sometime.. coffee in singles oh my :)
this game is hard, but if you stuck with it eventually you will get some really good gear. I just completed the game. wow cant wait for you to get farther. I dont want to spoil anything but i could tell you what to do with those vendor things if you'd like.
I've been recording chunks of this every chance I get, up to about ep 29 now - every episode I feel like I'm figuring out a little bit more and more which is nice.
Comfort improves the cap for the amount of rep you gain, might help with rowdy customers a little and can just make the tavern look amazing. Each item that gives it is halved the 2nd time you use it and then halved again the 3rd time ect... I might have loads of rugs and a few other things, but they make the tavern look like one. Coasters though do slow have fast the table gets dirty. I think table cloths do as well but not 100%.
@@hodgepodge Ya posted mine of the official discord here and there, even if I have 14 runners from Wilson and only 3 count, they look great.. plus any type of table cloth like the coasters slows how fast things get dirty too. I believe you will I truth your tavern will look amazing.
The coffee plant was moved up there because of the house upgrade. Whenever the 2nd house upgrade (where the upstairs level is added to the farmhouse) is completed, unless you have nothing in your house, 1-2 random items will be moved upstairs. Usually a storage chest, furniture or houseplant. Yours happened to be a garden pot coffee plant.
I just checked the details for the future Q4 update and for the mines it only mentioned new cosmetic drops and new enemies added. Nothing about opening up further mine levels. But who knows, maybe we’ll be surprised. XD I think you usually play with controller rather than keyboard and mouse and was wondering if you set up the “repeated” tool action yet? It’s under “settings” and “controls”. Seems like that might be more useful in some situations rather than the charging action. A suggestion regarding the animals is to let them out in the morning then go about your farm duties then send them back in right before you leave the farm. At least they will have gotten 2-4 hours of play time and won’t be left out overnight. XD
Good to know I shouldn't wait around for the mines, thanks! I do play with controller, will have to check that at some point. That's a very good animal management suggestion - in the next five episodes my track record is better but still spotty!
Thank you for the episode! The first tree (or the first that I noticed since I was reading while listening to your video) luckily you decided to not chop is a peach tree. The 2nd tree you swiped at once but decided it was a bad idea is a pomegranate tree. The 3rd tree you tried to “kill” but the game didn’t let are 2 wild grape trees (probably the game didn’t allow because currently we can’t buy grape trees so they are irreplaceable). The 4th tree you shook was a lemon tree. XD Luckily you didn’t or was prevented from chopping those trees. XD
Clint: "I want to put a gold bar on a chain"... Ummm... a standard gold bar weighs 400 troy ounces, which is 27.4 pounds or 12.4 kg. So, Clint, my friend... what the heck are you doing with that gold bar after you put it on a chain... cause you sure ain't wearin' it around your neck! Maybe you're gonna haul it behind your car? Oh yeah. You don't have a car. You don't even have a wagon. You gonna drag that thing along behind you when you go to the saloon every night? And they call Pam the drunk. Ha!
Hey Hodge, been watching this series for a bit, here are a few hints: The orange Orb tree next to your house has to be tapped w/ a delicate tapping kit. Everberry juice can be made from your crafting menu, 3rd tab w/ 1 quartz bottle and 30 Everberries. Edgar's memory stick can actually be fished anywhere on the map from the usual "fish" nodes, it's RNG if it appears in the tumblers. A Totonut tree grows in Cid's yard, to the left of his home, go out the back and turn left to access it, the path is hidden. Cid's house is behind his shop on the left. Townspeople have potted plants in their homes/shops that you can "harvest" from. Expand Libby's action queue w/ card upgrades so they can help with garden tasks a bit better.
I didn’t realize that was an ongoing conversation, neat! I recorded a bunch of this tonight and it’s surprising how much progress can be made yet there’s still sooo much left to explore.
Hey hodge podge! been following since the start of stardew valley gameplay just wanted to ask you what you'd say are your top 3 games like stardew? looking to buy a new game and thought i'd ask! thanks
Hello! Hmm it's tough because there's really nothing like it. I've enjoyed Fields of Mistria a lot lately. It has really great writing. It's early access so it's slightly limited but it's wonderfully put together. And I've been weirdly sucked into Core Keeper - although there's essentially no story I really like the exploration/mining/crafting loop. It continues to surprise me. Garden Paws is also pretty great if you like 9 billion quests (which I did).
♥ Hello! Ebba here. ♥ Did you notice at the Luau that your wooden bridge was completely GONE? I mean... they used to just block it off, didn't they? Or did it go back to being broken? Not sure. Maybe I'm thinking of the Expanded version. I am now really confused about what happens in each game type. LOL
Hello! I didn't even notice that - I feel like we were never able to go to the other area during the luau. I might be wrong on that though, they do all merge in my brain.
@@hodgepodge You're correct on that... we couldn't reach the other side. But, in memory serves me correctly, the bridge was either blocked off with some sort of barrier OR it was back to being broken... like before you repaired it. I can't remember which it was. But I noticed that the bridge was completely missing this time. Didn't really change anything, but I noticed and thought I'd mention it. ♥
Since you can see the vendors taking down their booths I wonder what you would see around 6am (perhaps with a freeze time mod? I know there are mods for FoM, but I haven’t looked at them yet) ? Would you see them walking in, setting up, or nothing at all? Maybe freeze time till you get there and then unfreeze and maybe you would see them suddenly appear? XD You would probably have to freeze time the night before right before sleeping because even if you froze time right as you woke up it would be enough time for them to appear first.
I really thought you were going to name the horse Timothy. XD The reason why the horse didn’t eat the hay was because you already fed it (and the duckling) the burdock in your hand. You originally had 4 burdock. :)
Depending on what you feed them, you can get more shiny beads! For example because you fed them burdock you got 2 beads each. I think the max you can get is 10 per animal at a time. You can have fun experimenting. XD
Oh I noticed you’re just feeding your animals and not petting them. You can see that you have pet them when you see a heart. The music notes that appear are when you have feed them. BTW, I meant horseradish, not burdock. XD
While I am enjoying your play through. It is crazy how long you take to make the bridge. I am pretty sure it gives you enough money to open the ruins. Unless I am completely miss remembering but the bridge didn't need anything from the ruins? But again I could be wrong.
There are a lot of factors that come into play for opening up new things, town rank, quest lines, collections and friendships all seem to have bearing so patience and determination is key to seeing the most out of this game. As for the mining aspect the use of bombs depends on your goals. They are fast but lack the enchants of the tools so you will clear levels quicker but at the cost of possible resource losses your enchanted tools would otherwise produce.
Good to know about the bombs in the mines - I'll have to refrain from that after all! Besides the ladders it didn't seem to do much. I put my patience hat on soon for about the next twenty episodes so far as I just kept working on things.
