Can you please tell me how you came up with, how low the sponsons sit below hull? or how that is done based on length etc, or any other info about this please.
Hi Christopher, I can't remember those measurments anymore, but i think if you go to www.aeromarineresearch.com you will find that same software that i used. You can design Hull that is best for you 😊
Last question please, does the deadrise stay static all through the sponsons, if not, more deadrise at transom? or other way around, please and thank you
Sweet. Once I finally get my shop space properly insulated and heated I've promised myself that I'll finally commit to building the experimental boats I dream about. Properly done wood construction is shockingly strong and durable but it's generally too slow and laborious to be used in most production settings. The negative comments from family and friends I receive are something else.
I did this today. Twice. Wondered what planet I was on for a while. Spent a minute being grateful for my helmet. The whole works. Im now in my bed and my back is very upset with me 😅
you are my hero , i am trying to do my boat , and i see your vedio , it gives me postive energy to reach my dream , i want to contact you if you never mind ❤
I want a inboard two seat hydroplane, but this cat is cool and your work outstanding. Are the plans available? I was thinking about enlarging RC hydro plans. Thanks
Thanks for asking, with that 200xs merc hitting revlimiter the best speed was just over 160kmh before i sell that engine. Maybe even more if i just had a bigger prop🤷🏻♂️
@@arihurjamarine what you have is just as much a work of art as it is beautiful boat. I’m glad you finished it and get to enjoy it. I want to build one myself, but if a different design but same idea…. GO FAST!!!
Get Some Ryan Knapton in. Love ones edges. Though, addicting, I now try to carve everything. Mash potatoes? F* it. Carve it. Black diamond moguls? Surely we need to cut a pencil through these moguls using leg work to keep a pencil like edge line over the bumps. Extreme steep fall line? Let's cut a long swooping heel edge line down it. Mellow Green? EUROCARVE!!!!!
Quick tip you where trying to force it over remember that you have to be flat based before you go toe edge also try to use your lower body more then your upper.
False, you need to stand tall when starting a turn not crouch. Go watch up unweight by malcom moore, or any of his videos to learn this. You crouch when you get out of the turn
I am trying and failing to build two identical racing boats sponsons the front ones. I am building a small fishing shallow water scooter boat/skiff, only 11’ long 5’ wide but I want the sponsons which I’m attaching to 7’ long angled flat 3’ wide strip to run down the whole length with sponsons sticking out in front for me that supports my weight so I can flounder gig at night fish off of during day. Limited money, building sponsons outta cardboard to find the pattern that has the least major bends cause I’m going to build sponsons outta very thin plywo or paneling and us pourable floatation foam and fiberglass over the wood alternating glass and carbon fiber. Trying to get away with as much of sponson design with straight lines but they all Angie upwards and rounds off and I want them both perfect. Guess I could build them both and the one that has the best conical upwards point, cut the bad o r off, make a one piece mold by sanding and greasing the good one and pushing it down into mold material making identical mold, I want each point at the front to match thanks
@@arihurjamarine I. Annoy attach a pic to this or do t know how or I’d send you a picture of the sponsons and drawing of boat I hv the sponsons built, all fiber glassed 3 layers 6% woven, 1-layer 1708 biaxial fiberglass, adding fairing putty to even out everything, sanding then gel coating after assembled, they are approx 19 1/2” across top front, bottom 8” wide, 11 1/2” long top deck I’ll stand in is going to be 5’ x 7 1/2’-8’ long,
man,... your video its just what i think... i don't have money, but i have a dream of building my own racecar, not buying parts but making my own! im a mechanical engineer unemployed, i design and simulate my dreams on cad and fluid dynamics.. i have a car..that does not have a gear box for like.. 4 years... but i will never quit.. dot care how long it takes... but one day.. i will drive my car!
Thanks man! I heard this somewhere and now I tell it to you. Just remember that you don't have to have it all figured out to move forward. Just take the next step. Victor, don't give up!
Hang in there. I spent years as a serially underemployed mechanical engineer grinding it out working in junkyards or doing construction type work for cash. I'm self employed now with a pretty sweet machine shop and I'm perpetually shocked at how little interest anyone has in what I'm doing or what I've accomplished from pretty much nothing.
Hello there my name is Manny, I'm from the beautiful sunshine state of Florida, I have a shop that I can easily build something like this, and in fact that exactly what I want to do but I haven't find the prints to do so. Can you please help me with that. I just need information.
