Since 1974 - as an Evangelist, Educator and Actor, an award winning radio commentator, author, business executive, elected community leader and even a Shakespearean trained actor, Mark Price brings a compelling presence and rare depth to his presentations. He combines his theatrical background with his speaking experience.
Mark performs 7 historical men of our Faith: Saint Joseph, Simon Peter, Judas Iscariot, Doubting Thomas, Saint Paul, St Luke and St. Francis of Assisi.
Mark's desire is reigniting the Faith in those who still attend but have perhaps lapsed in the level of their belief and participation. Mark works to accomplish this through talks and performances of and about the lives, from a human perspective, of historical religious figures. His goal is to draw parallels between the human frailties and failures of historical figures and how they addressed those shortcomings and how we might learn to deal with similar issues in our own lives.
Requiescat in Pace. MSGR. Kirk. Gone to Heaven 2024-7-1. What a wonderful priest, pastor, friend, man of God. He was the prime example of what a pastor should be.
Have enjoyed being inspired by Gods word by its reality becoming real while watching your transformation into biblical times through bible characters. Excited for your latest inspiration become reality in this adventure!
Thanks so much! Ive never seen a complete Hollywood Reel, just a few seconds they used to show on the old AMC channel. I have Coy jr's book. Are there any other reliable books on the Watsons? I try to get over to Berkeley Street two or three times a year from my Northridge home just for the heck of it and drive by their old house. What history!
When we leased the rights t o use a partial segment from the Hollywood Reels on AMC Coy and I with the family discussed it and decided that we would prefer that in the future any release of the Hollywood Reels should be in their entirety. Partial releases does not do them justice. We believe that they are a piece of television history. The first time many stars were ever on television. Behind the scenes of how they make movies, the fashions of the day and so on and so on. So they represent a glimpse of Hollywood at an important time in our History. I would prefer to find a way to package all 52 Hollywood reels and release them in that format. If I arrive at a way to do that, I will let you know. You are also welcome to check back with me at any time.
The reason he goes to Mexico is because he hides from California is so he thinks he can away with cheating on his wife, and goes to Prostates, Bars and Drugs. Open your BIBLE and read Adultery. It’s beautiful to see the Love that Joseph had for his own son, played out like this. He had a difficult role to play as well, having to maneuver around the Jewish laws that would have seen his betrothed stoned. Thankfully, he was a man who had a relationship with the Father, and heard from Him in dreams. God gave him directions for the care of his family through his dreams.
Thank you very much. I was Coy's son-in-law and I worked with him to produce and publish his book the Keystone Kid. I am very happy to know that his book is still being read. It was truly a labor of love.
@@markprice7 I very much enjoyed the book, and I have a question. On page 21, Mr. Watson says it took four days for his parents to train to LA from Oregon. Wouldn't it have taken more like one day? Thank you.
@@ALKAHESTBOY I wish I had an answer for you. Perhaps they made stops along the way. As you may know Coy's family came from England to California and Oregon because they were sent byt he founders of the Salvation Army (Booth) to help establish the Salvation Army in California and Oregon. So maybe there were stops related to that effort. But I have no idea, I am just guessing. In case you are interested, I created a page honoring the Watson's on my personal website - markprice.com/watson
What a great commentary on fatherhood and reminder of what being a father should be. So many lessons that Hailey was a receiver of. We all could have benefited from life lessons like this. Have a great day.
This concept and basis of your talk was so much food for my soul, especially in light of what is happening out there in society. "I Am Scripture"...Beautiful! I will be sharing with all!!
How fortunate for these Men and others to hear your message. Bravo! and so inspirational! You look great!!! More spreading the Word ahead of you for sure!!
Mark, thank you for this portrayal of Simon Peter. I always get amused when I read and listen to the passage of Jesus washing the feet. It's funny to hear Jesus tell Peter that he doesn't need to wash his whole body if he bathes. I like how you made that dialogue of that exchange. It makes sense that it wasn't of his unworthiness, but his pride that made him reject the foot washing. You made me think of the woman and the man who questioned Jesus. What would they get out of it, if he said he was with him? A reward. Of course, we know that St. Peter got martyred for his faith, but that wasn't his time. He had to "fulfill" what Jesus said about St. Peter betraying him. It's interesting to think that stereotypically, we get addressed by our full name when we are in trouble, but in this case, Jesus reverts to calling him by Simon when he causes trouble. With that said, strong Peter as a rock was hiding, but I can't blame him. I remember as a child, I had a dream that I was in Jerusalem and I was afraid to run into Jesus. I think it was because it was during his Passion and I knew he was going to get killed. I did not want to see that in "real life". In a sense, I felt that childhood dream is what St. Peter really had to deal with. He was really there. As St. Peter repented, we must repent as well. God's Mercy is endless. God Bless. - Juls
@@markprice7 It is my pleasure. Regardless of what God's intentions are for my purpose in life, I can always appreciate making a person's day. Thank you very much. God Bless You and Your Family, too, Mark. - Juls
Mark, I love all your portrayals and presentations. I like how you reminded as St. Peter that the same people who praised Jesus on Palm Sunday would eventually condemn Jesus to death. As he said, how could the people change? He too said, he would give his life to Jesus, which he would eventually do. However, he himself betrayed like Judas first. The only difference is he repented and had a "conversion" to carry out The Lord's work. At times in any level or form of a relationship, we too can be "lubby dubby" one moment and "sick of the other person", in another moment. There may be times when we believe in God and other times we lose faith. There may be times we are happy with God and other times when we are frustrated and angry of how things ended up. Either way, as St. Peter said, we won't know why the people turned away, but God knows it all. It's part of our human nature and we gotta rise above our flaws. Easier said than done, but we can do. We just have to keep our eyes on The Lord. Thank you for this video, Mark. God Bless. - Juls
I know this isn't only in this video, but I am trying to pray that prayer from Godspell more, now that I've heard it, a few times. Thank you, Mark. God Bless.
