as much as I love this film, the story is even more profound if you read the book. it had a lot more humor and the ghost of the captain was present for longer than the single year they mention in the movie - a detail that never made any sense until i read the book.... the movie led you to believe he was around for a lot longer, only to throw a bucket of cold water on you by revealing it was one single year... preposterous! the author did a fantastic job leading us through the years of Mrs. Muir's seemingly solitary life, the script writers could have easily done the same. in fact, as good as the film is, it actually does a huge disservice to the captain and other vital characters and events. people don't even realize how much they are missing out. i sincerely want to talk about everything but i also don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read the book yet!
Best tribute I've seen to the great and lovely Robert Donat the beginning when he switches the light on is so well done. He was just supreme & one of my favourites thank you x
What a beautiful song this is. I loved it on the show, and I love it here. Somehow, though, I am a bit disappointed that there wasn't even a clip of them dancing to the song. It was so beautiful and unexpected in the episode.
One of the most beautiful albums she's ever done. Wish I could have been there. I have the DVD also. So much much fun and ballroom dancing. Simply lovely as only Carly can do❤
