Hello! Thanks for finding my channel. I'm Blake :-) I record and post videos based on my experiences as a nurse in hopes to bring humor to others in the healthcare field. Our jobs are challenging and difficult so I started creating content as an outlet for me to connect with others. My first video was the Scrub Romper which I posted back in 2017. I had no idea that it was going to go viral and be watched by so many people. This inspired me to keep making more content and to also find ways to bring nurses together at live events. I created NurseCon at Sea which is the Ultimate Nursing Conference that takes place annually on a cruise ship with thousands of nurses. We offer fully accredited CNEs taught by amazing educators in addition to hosting theme nights, game shows, meet ups, and EPIC parties! I also take my comedy on the road; I'm coming to over 100 cities later this year on my SHOCK ADVISED Comedy Tour, be sure to get your tickets!
Night shift and Day shift nurses are literally “NIGHT AND DAY “ Night shift nurses want to give report at0630! Day shift, get your breakfast, and gossip after you take report!! It doesn’t take 29 minutes to get to individual nurse reports 20 minutes after assessments are given!!
I always chit chat during cares. Moreso if they tubed or unable to talk. I read their face and eyes to see if they good with it or not. I just talk about the day, their kids, their spouse, or if I don't know those things yet,I'll talk about whatever comes to mind that is general and not full of my opinion. I hope it helps. I figure it's better then them feeling like a widget.
Perfect!! Lmao! I work agency for LTC and every night I have to try to figure out where the sound is coming from when hearing "NURSE!" or "Hellooo??" And every shift someone complains it's too hot and someone else is pissed off that it's "FREEZING"! There really should be a video like this!
No changes girl here! Anything worth knowing is in the chart. Ya gotta read the h& p no matter what if u never had the person. The lab reports be in the lab tab. Vitals in the ....vitals tab. Bms in the bm tab. On and on
I hate giving report. I typically wont, i ask if they need anything and tell em lets count, and anthing thats important enough to know is in the chart. Look it up have a great day i cant stand duplication of any kind. Ugh. Love ur channel. I may say if im waiting on a call back from someone and 1 sentance why i called and then again. Check charting. Tata.
Dreams are seldom literal. Many times they contain what are called " shadow figures," meaning that you could be dreaming about forgetting a patient, but it's not about the patient. Thst patient could represent someone or something in your life. Or, the patient could be you and you feel as though you are being forgotten. Dreams can give us so much insight if we just take the time to be open to interpretation.
literally “Im doing the best that i can!” is exactly what is said to a pt the other night when I had all 7 of them asking for snacks at the same damn time 😭
Here from the Dr. Mike interview. What the hell?!😂😂 This reminds me of when I was heavily pregnant with my oldest. I had so much water retention that by month 7 I had grown out of all of my maternity clothes. I had one outfit that would fit me and it was this romper made out of a material that looked like your Grandma's old couch. This meant that the 400 times a day I had to go to the bathroom I had to get completely naked in order to do so. Would not recommend making these your only outfits in your closet as it gets real old real fast especially when you can't reach the floor again to pull it back up!😂 This was also the time I learned that you could grow out of flip flops. Now I have one pair I call my "fat flops" that I will never get rid of in case of fatmergencies (like when I busted up my foot and it swelled up).
