The interesting question is if the decision for this event is final on if Jim's engine qualifies for the "non hemi" weight brake. I read that NPK didn't allow that weight brake during this event. Is that issue over? Has the fight on that just starting? After hearing about this "Canted Valve" head I had no clue what to think. I hunted up what I could find to read and looked at the head of "canted Valve" motor and a Hemi head. Both of them are doing the same thing where the valves are "rotated." The valves don't have the exact same amount of turn but the Hemi has just a little bit more rotation. Both arrive with the valves directly across from each other and the same dome on the head. I am not an engine builder but IMO it is like having a hemi but not in name. He wouldn't qualify for the weight brake. We will see how this all plays out!!!
