My dad used to come here as a child in the late 50s early 60's and then went on to spend over 40 years working as a driver before retirement. My dad used to take me and my brother when we were kids and now I am doing the same taking my little boy here to see them all. A passion I didn't think I would get back in to but I definitely am doing. Acton Bridge is the place to be for having a great day filming and spotting.

Good man. You've most probably seen me there a fair few times mate if you go through regularly like you will. I was supposed to of gone today but my little boy is poorly so haven't bothered. Will probably go one day next week instead. Sad and even more surprised with the mail trains coming to an end. Ridiculous decision and it doesnt really make any sense why they are going. Cheers for subscribing to me also.
I go through a couple of times next week be later on though if I see you I’ll give you my horn . All about money with the mail trains massive loss for DB that though it was a good contract
@@frag1237 its a massive loss to the industry aswell as DB. If anything you would expect them to have more of them running but everything goes by road or has been the favored choice for a long time. So much quicker by rail though. I'm thinking of going on Wednesday but might change to Monday. The last couple of times I've gone I've been at Hartford for just after 6:30am and then go to Acton Bridge til gone 6 at night. I will let you know for definite when I'll be going mate. @@frag1237 All right mate, what days and times are you next going through Acton Bridge on next? I was there yesterday but will probably go again towards the end of this week. Will probably have my little boy with me as well as he finishes his nursery today.
I agree. He was an old fella as well and even his wife said to him that he shouldn't be down at the side of the track. He didn't say anything back and just stayed there for longer. I posted the clip on the Avanti Enthusiast group on Facebook and got told that I was a disgrace and I give trainspotters a bad name. I was then blocked from the group. He's the only person who went down the platform and there was no need for him to of done it.
