Up until two seasons ago, from his very first time as a bear, Jake has always stated that he wanted to be a career Bruin. I hope it comes to be. If he didn't speak up, put his black and gold jersey on the line to challenge Cassidy's "do your job follow my system" "Every player has to compete for their spot every day" While Pasta was failing at hockey right after he lost his child... With his contract negotiation coming up that summer We may have lost Pasta if Cassidy didn't finally put Pasta on the second line and Jake on the 1st Pasta's summer contract negotiation may have gone another way He had just lost a child, was losing his hockey - couldn't buy a goal... good chance he may have walked to find a fresh start Jake was hot - he had earned his spot on the top line. I feel like this is another torey Krug situation - they weren't that far apart... And Pasta was not happy that Tory left. Neither was the Bruins power play very happy that Krug left 🫤 Very sad to see Linus go. With all due respect, I don't believe that Jeremy Swayman is the future of the Bruins as a Stanley Cup team. I could get into specifics but I will not. Too short for starters. His height has changed a couple of times in less than 2 years. 😏 Linus is going to change the Ottawa senators. When he commands the net as 1A, he's at his best. I've been looking for a reasonable Bruins podcast without all the clickbait and whatnot. I don't know why you've been kept out of the algorithm when I search "Boston Bruins." But you seem to be popping up now You seemed familiar - and you are. I watched your video on Bobby Orr a few years back - his agent. I remember you now. Glad to see you back. I was a member of the Bobby Orr fan club in the early 70's! It cost $4 a year to join. That was a lot of money! Worth it! Good stuff... Put in perspective and balanced. I subbed... You've got me 🐻
They should have traded ullmark and debrusk a couple years ago they could have gotten more for ullmark and now they will get nothing for debrusk they should also trade Lindholm
Debrusk had a bad season because he was playing with a bad center. Brad should have had 35 goals last season but he was playing with a fourth line center.
Imo it was always about the $$$, both for Jake and the team. If money is what he wants, somebody other than Boston was always going to overpay for him. If he thinks he's worth as much as 7 per, Boston should and 100% WILL let him walk.
Thank you very much. I like to report facts backed up by sources and sprinkle in my take now and then. Nice comments like this make the effort worth it so thank you
Yep, there are several Bruins podcasts available but for sure Mr. Bruins Die Hards is by far the most concise and mature Bruins news and information content to watch - Thank you for all of your podcasts!
Unfortunately the only way the Bruins get Draisatl is if the Oilers somehow let him walk after next season. They just don’t have the assets to trade for him (without giving up a huge piece ie: McAvoy)… anything can happen though
It'd be amazing if it was to happen!? I doubt it will but hey u never know!? If the Bruins were to get him it's more likely that'd it be as a UFA after next season, provided Draisitl doesn't sign extension with Edmonton anytime in the next year!? but if he didn't sign an extension anytime soon and they played thru next season without him signing and if Edmonton had a terrible season maybe he'd make it to free agency!? If that was to happen that'd probably be Bruins best shot at getting him!? A trade now would just cost too much most likely!?
I wouldn't mind lindholm!? Hopefully they don't over pay for him if they do it tho!? Hes one of the best centers available!? Bruins have gotta go get the best center available that they can!? I hope Bruins r able to go out and snag top players to fill the #1 center, top 6 winger, and left shot D roles that need to be filled!? They really gotta go get a great #1 center and a top 6 fast scoring winger!? If they could get Lindholm in free agency and maybe snag Necas in a trade that wouldn't be too bad!? Can't wait to see what they do and who they get!? I really hope they r super active day 1 of free agency and go get some of the best players available right away!? They can't screw around and let other teams snag the best guys available!? The draft tonight will be interesting too!? Wonder who they'll take with the #25 pick!? Hopefully it'll turn out to be a home run like the last time they had the #25 pick back in 2014 when they drafted Pasta!!!!?
Keep dreamin'. Leon is an Oiler for life. There is nowhere else in the league he will get to play with his best friend and best player on the planet. Gonna have to try and solve your problems at center elsewhere.
I differ from your opinion, but everyone is entitled to one. Elliot is more accurate regarding rumours and trades than anyone in the sport. My opinion of course but where I live he is right more times than he is wrong.
@@bruinsdiehards to educated hockey fans in the great white north, this guy knows jack. Example? After the ullmark trade this guy went on TV and said great move by Boston that frees up 3 mill in cap space.. Just a corporate figure head there to spread rumours.. doesn't know the game atall
He still isn't wrong when it comes to rumours, though. Very well respected, and as I said, you may not like him or trust him, but I do. I’m also in the Great white north as well
Its not that bad of a trade when you consider what the options were. Boston had to trade ulmark and there were only 3 or 4 teams that were interested. Keeping ulmark for a year was just a complete waste of cap space because they dont need him.
@@bruinsdiehards look how he played when he signed the big deal and left Carolina for Buffalo. The guy wins zero puck battles and is just not a Bruin type a player. He's soft man, no thanks.
The fan base had unrealistic expectations for the Ullmark trade. Fans need to take into account that the no trade clause significantly reduced Sweeney’s ability to maximize the return. Personally I would’ve wanted more cap space and not accepting the Ottawa goalie. We don’t know if Ullmark will sign an extension with Ottawa so Ullmark is a one year rental. Getting the first round pick was the best they could expect. Let’s hope Sweeney can acquire two high scoring wingers with the cap space and sign Swayman.
I like the deal. Bruins woulda devalued ullmark by only playing him 30 games. They woulda kept 5 mill in cap hit for a true back up. The bruins needed a back up and woulda spent about that much so why not an nhl proven goalie. They get a first round pick some cap space for a guy they weren’t signing and they’d devalue.
i totally agree with your perspective today. i was hoping for 80s style or 70s style Bs shirts. im kinda bummed by them going back. i dont know about skinner b/c he is small. if its for a million then i would do that.
Losing Bussi would be another mistake, like not leaving Griz unprotected in the expansion draft instead of Lauzon. Lauzon has shown to be a good player and Bussi will be a good goalie for another team. Here is hoping Bussi outplays Korp and Korp gets waived or sent to Providence. Really do not want to lose Bussi because of this stupid deal!
Let's trade for one of the worst goalies in the league with a 3 million a year cap hit...just an aweful trade. Just the the first round pick would have been better. This trade makes the Bruins worse not better in the short term
The problem is that the first rounder basically should be for taking on korpisalo. You got nothing for ullmark, and he will resign if his family settles in. Ullmark thinks about his family first so he wouldn’t have extended any where until his family agreed.
Why keep developing goalies like vladar and bussi just for them to go somewhere else? I know they got a 3rd for vladar but bussi should be the backup. Korpisalo is only gonna play 20 sumthin games for 3 million. Makes no sense
Understand swayman and ulmark can't both be on the ice at the same time. When one is sitting on the bench it's just a waste of cap space granted it does protect the team in case one goes down with an injury. Korpi is not as good as ulmark but he won't play as many games as ulmark did so the net loss in terms of on ice results should be minimal if korpi just steps up his game a little. Therefore it's reasonable to expect the addition of a depth player and a 1st round pick to make the bruins overall a better team
