As someone who wants freedom for Palestinians, I wish those leading chants would come up with chants that educate onlookers. A few examples: 1. “a land without a people, a people without a land” is a lie. 600,000 non Zionists in 1917. 2. Balfour - you gave other peoples land away 3. 500,000 settlers in the occupied West Bank … stop terrorising families!

The West Bank borders Israel and Lebanon to the East, though most of the land has been cut up by Israeli settlements. The total population of the State of Palestine amounts to 5M, though the reliable sources do very, as unironically it is obviously hard to get reliable data in an active warzone. Officially, Palestine doesn't have its own currency as it is forbidden for them to do so, instead the civilians have to use Israeli Shekles, The Jordanian Dinar, the Egyptian Pound or the Dollar instead. Though it wasn't always like this as Palestine had its own currency under colonial rule. The capital is East Jerusalem which is also occupied, like most of the West Bank. Though you could count Gaza in as both parts of Palestine are ruled by different governments (Hamas for the Gaza strip and Fatah for the West Bank) With all due respect, I encourage you to educate yourself on the current conflict so that you can understand the perspective that we are coming from.

Attended for the first time yesterday, was expecting to only stay for an hour or so, ended up being there for 6-7 hours. What a great day, the bands were excellent, very well organised, lots to do for all ages & saw lots of old friends from the village. Well done, looking forward to next years event.

This is gorgeous! Willow (youngest daughter on the right here) wrote this for her then unborn neice. What a tribute!! I have heard Willow perform this as solo which was fab in itself, but to hear it from the trio is sublime. I could t be here at Soundle, but I have tickets for their next gigs....x
