It's interesting...neuroscience experiments tend to show that feelings/emotions come first, then the brain reacts to the emotion with conscious thoughts; often times the mind justifies the emotion. Low level feelings of fear happen so quickly, like when some people see a snake, there is no time for conscious thought - the snake triggers the emotion, then the thought of danger arises to justify the emotion. Thoughts often justify the anger - 'it is their fault I feel this way'. So this apparently is shown in brain scans. Reaction to danger has to be first, & faster than the conscious evaluation of the danger. It's a survival mechanism. I'm not sure I would call the initial trigger a sub-conscious thought or a sub-conscious feeling. I suppose it might depend on the physical processes involved.
Great info, making the excess sweating stop within 2 days was so much more than I expected, I went with what I talked about last week and after the first day or so I was very surprised to start feeling much more comfortable and dry! I went ahead and go'ogled the latest by Cynthia Yulesin and after 72 hours I now sweat like a “normal” person lol
I think an unconscious thought is a feeling, it’s not a thought until it’s articulated Something feels off, then you think of what it is - but if you don’t think about it, it remains a feeling I think some people say “feeling” when they mean “opinion” or “theory”. If they think something and then have a feeling, that’s an opinion or a theory but instead of saying “I think” because that sounds like more of a commitment or a position that they’d have to defend they say “I feel” because others can’t “feel” like you but they can “think” like you since feeling is much more subjective. “I feel threatened by this person” -Why? “The things they do” (can’t quite think of what it is) V-S “I think I’m threatened by this person” -Why? The things they do (specific example of threatening behaviour that required thought to figure out) A feeling or unconscious thought is like unprepared food. Is flour or dough bread? No, you have to do something, thinking is a voluntary action, feeling is instinctual
Wow, an advertisement popping up and blasting in the middle of a meditation video is the stupidest thing I have ever seen. Not much chance in relaxing when that happens!!
Hello Dipti Well this hypnosis test worked for me. I could really feel my right arm going up in the air from the helium balloon, I also felt the heavy weight of the dictionary book in my left hand. I actually had to rest my left hand on my desk because of the weight from the heavy book. This was very interesting indeed, thank you.
I could not sleep last night and so I listened to this amazing video and found myself drifting off very quickly and stayed asleep until the morning. Amazing and brilliant. Hope you make some more of these.
