@TrevsTanks this tank is absolutely stunning! I came back to watch this build after seeing it’s latest update.. great job mate! Is there a part 1 of this video, where you explain the initial hardscape (for the 2 roots themselves)? I’m just curious to know how you did the hanging roots hardscape.. and are those actual rocks or something like pond/expanding foam? I see you explained a little bit about adding/correcting few pieces here and there.. but not how you did the initial structure. Please advise (or if I missed it, please point me to it 😅). Thanks!
Thank you so much for the support ❤️ There is not a video of me doing the initial rock scape it took me a few days to figure out 😅 Basically what I did was try to find slim seriyu stones and stacked them like a wall along the sides and back wall, then I found two spider wood pieces that had flat tops, and super glued the tops of them right to the tank, then found other points to glue it to the rock structure 🙌 Then, used wooden dowels, glued then to the tops of the spider wood for support for the peace lillies 🙌 I hope that helps, if you need any more help let me know!
@marksmith4540 dude, I am very happy you noticed 🔥 old school bioshock and that battle in yugi was some peak childhood memories 😍 I hope you have an awesome week!
Had to rewind and watch that door transition several times! Great tank, great fish, absolutely amazing door transition hahaha. Everything is looking so so beautiful!
Ok where can I get that sick drip acclimation tube with the siphon on it? The Luigi's fish tank siphon I saw in one of your other videos changed my life
There's one on my Amazon Store front 😁 it's called the Accudrip acclimator it's super helpful 👌 lol I use that Luigi siphon every weekend it's the best 🤣
Would you want me to upload a video of just the tank and some super nice closeups? I've been thinking of doing that for each tank as quick little 5-10 minute spotlights on each tank.
May I try do one similar never done one but I haven't a TV n 16 years now. I grow carnivorous plants pepper chilli tomatoes herbs in my room . This is whats missing. Being wondering fir a bit now what do about something was in door waterfall. But now I seen that. X
You totally should try one! Just have fun with it, you could probably grow some of those vegetables/carnivorous plants in the aquarium as well! You got this!
I remember when you got Daphne! You showed me pictures on your phone and you being you when you're passionate about something, had a huge smile on your face and were so animated about it. Not sure if anyone has told you lately, but you're doing a good job buddy. ❤ 🎉
Yessss! I was so excited 😅 I still am, I just needed to clear out the clutter to see what's important 🔥 I really appreciate this message, made me smile!
Very well said my friend! Particularly when you said "Admit to ourselves when we've gone a bit too far", we all want all the tanks but we don't realize what we're setting ourselves up for. We're setting ourselves up to be overwhelmed and NOTING leads to burn out faster!
I feel like it happens to anyone in any hobby. We get so excited about whatever we are passionate about, and it clouds our minds to the point that we dont realize when we are going too far. And just like you said in your video, it leads to people completely abandoning a hobby that originally brought them happiness.... I appreciate you John & Lisa! 🙌
My three favourites are : 1. Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum) 2. Pothos (Epipremnum pinnatum) 3. Monstera Monkey Leave The Spider Plant might fit to a new project
Thank you so much 😍 oh yeah I am! Still torn on what to put in here, there's not that much room so I'm thinking a larger group of nano schooling fish 😍
This video was great! I am currently trying to get my own aquarium started as a first time fish keeper. I'm trying to be prepared for everything... All of my research often sacres me because the fear of failure is overwhelming. You reminded me that mistakes are a leaning opportunity! Thank you ^^
Thank you! You doing all the research and properly thinking everything through has put you ahead of most! Mistakes and failures will always happen, but they will make you better in the long run! Set up your tank and enjoy it! You got this!
@@TrevsTanks It's "dropsy" (DROP-see), any animal can suffer from it, it means edema or "bloating." Says nothing about the cause of it, but yes in fish it is usually an infection of some sort.
Laos I'm not sure putting plants from a sick tank into other tanks is the best idea? I'm no "expert" but, you'll just be transferring that bacteria somewhere else I would think.
Hmm... you removed an Ehime canister filter for a fluvall. And it looked like the decent square shaped large Ehime filter. Not sure if you know much about Ehime filters seeing as you said it came with the tank, but they are very good top end range canister filters that usually work better than fluval filters. I think you may end up using that Ehime filter again
Definitely looked into what the filter was and was pleasantly surprised at its performance. But I am a huge fan of the FX6. The ease of use, massive filter media capacity, built in water change system, lots of flow... but that Ehiem worked great while I had it!
