Hello, I have a question if you may give some advice. So when I went to do the driving test.. and the examiner came in my car, my leg wouldn’t stop shaking out of nervousness. How can I stop this?
@xoamira7188 This is perfectly normal when you have anxiety. I tend to have the same problem. What I would say you can do is just take a few moments to calm yourself down by breathing in and out and repeating "everything will be okay" in your head. If, throughout the test, your leg doesn't stop shaking and you feel like you need to pause and have a breather, then be honest with the examiner as it is allowed, and they will understand.
I 100% agree with you fleur, but ig if you want to change, you definitely do it for YOU not for others, for example I'm very introverted and at times I love it, and I feel like it is me, I always have been a listener and observer but I'm trying to "change" in some ways to become more confident and talkative, and to be the one making conversations first. It definitely takes some time and it's wayy out of the comfort zone but yes it's your own choice at the end of the day! And just a side note, you're soo good at advice fleur, the knowledge and advice you have for self love and respecting yourself is PERFECT! I'm 100%, trying to bring this mindset onto myself too 😊

The first one is so true! In year 7 and all through high school I thought I was going to go down a vet nursing path and I could picture myself doing that for the rest of my life but as soon as I left school I got experience within it and it turns out it wasn't for me, i was sooo stuck on wherw i wanted to go and what i wanted to do, and i still am! But in a way i find it fun not know what i want to do, it allows me to dip my toe into many different things until i find out what i love doing :)

I really liked how you talked about the process of “stopping” when negative thoughts come. I’ve got bpd and one of the things we practice in dbt is using the “stop” method, but I never really thought about using that same technique with body dysmorphia. You’ve gained a subscriber 😊.
