Your wrong about the 907kg operating capacity. It's actually 635kg as it's by law only 35% capacity for these machines so it's 635kg and this weight includes the weight of the attachment I.e 4in1 (250kgs so all you have left to lift is 385kg ) false advertising sorry . Same problem with the rt40 after you add a bucket you are left with 200kg is all you can lift .
After riding the predesorses with a high drive that at 6'7" and can't see the blade corners it is great to see a conventional track system back on their line ups. It is long over due for CAT to get back on the good machine days and lose a bunch of high tech. After all they are what they are and that is a fact they have needed to listen to the folks that make a living sitting in there for 12+ hour shifts eh. These days operators are losing their skills with the machines with computers do their work for them. I see it all the time.
Both the Cat and Komatsu have benefits over each other and both first class machines. I like the Cat but there are no losers in the race between the two. Which do you prefer?
In my opinion Volvo is the better brand for articulating trucks. We have 17 trucks on one job site and 11 on the other. We put them through hell and they are still hauling. 10/10.
Cats have great service because they constantly break down. Cat and Bobcats are absolute trash. Hitachi and Volvo malke a much better excavator (in any size) .
Hi, Ron. Thanks for the memories. I started of on a Cat 22 with a hand windlass operated cable blade, graduated to a Cat 20 with a hydraulic blade, then a 2T D4 with a hydraulic blade and then to a 3T series D7, again with a cable blade - all a far cry from the D9N I was operating when we met at Boral. Again, thanks for the memories. Just my 0.02. You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.
I operator oh hang on drive one because you can't operator one. It rocks all day unless you prop it up on a pile of dirt under both tracks. The leavers are terrible so big and to many useless buttons. The track frame is way too short it needs another 200mil at least. We had nothing but drama with the trimble, dig assist. Omg.
