Why did she allow that to happen she should have simply ignored it and made a constuctive criticism instead. Its better to be removed from a job/show which is not worth fighting for and leaving with ones reputation still intact than looking like a previlige loser. Too bad she might have been a well known superstar by now and I really liked her musick and her writing skills made it better. I still listen to her music but my mind still goes to that tragic judging event. Simon Cowell created an entire franchise based off of berating people on national television after having multiple pre auditions, songs chosen for live auditions (the contestants don’t even get to pick) and compared to what other judges on talent tv shows have said, hers isn’t the worst. She wasn’t about to risk her family and friends by breaking an NDA and being sued for hundreds of thousands of dollars by a massive franchise. She could come out and tell the entire story because the gag order expired but you know what? It’s not worth it because nobody would listen anyway. She’d just get told the same thing as people do almost 10 years later; death threats, racist comments, misogynistic comments. Google the song Broken by Cruel Youth. That’s the realest she’s ever been about the situation. They had a role to play just like the other judges. Mel wasn’t an angel either but Teddy went too far and realized that the business she was employed to work at didn’t actually have her back. They got thrown out and an abusive entertainment industry got to continue repeating the cycle of humiliating contestants.
She has a talent in making musick and I think she really have a good voice why youre going to let the production of xfactor destroy youre carreer she should have think hard first before uttering those words and maybe change it spontaneously to a constructive criticism instead since she is a good song writer what a regretful situation.

They were probaly trying to market her as being the unapologetic Mean Girl of the 2010s like a paris hilton but in music, but it didn't play out as they thought and so they just dropped her and let her entire career burn after the xfactor incident. This whole alter ego was basically an experiment.
Most people are just so dumb... our whole lives we are told not to believe everything we see on television and we generally know that tv-shows are staged and cut in a way to fit certain narratives that do not necessarily follow the truth and yet it was soo easy for X-factor to make so many people instantly and without questioning believe, that this one contestant is a freak. If someone is shown to have a complete breakdown in front of the camera, then we must AT LEAST suspect that something fishy was going on beforehand that they didn't show us.
