Typically, black bears are skittish....when they're young. If you're around a young black bear, you have bigger problems. Grizzly bears, polar bears, Kodiak bears not skittish. They will literally eat you while you're still breathing.
Depends on the type of bear. With a black bear you might have a chance if you’re lucky but a grizzly isn’t going to care either way. He’s gonna get your ass lol

Standing your ground to a momma bear will get you killed 100% of the time Also standing your ground will only work with black bears anyway and they are extremely unlikely to even try to attack you.
