Most models are different but what are you specifically looking for and what model is your dishwasher? Also there’s a screenshot of the errors and should be somewhere close to the timestamp in the description.
PDT785SYNFS Trying to get to the reason why my GE Dishwasher is not drying? My local parts store says the thermistor is inside a “heater blower package”. It’s not on a Flood switch like I seen on another of your videos. Any helpful diagnostic hints would be appreciated! Thanks,
Hmmmmm, let me look into it and I’ll let you know. Currently out of town. do you know if you have steam when you run a cycle? Open it up half way during. Also if you put your hand near the heating element is it hot? (Absolutely do not get close enough to touch it just in case) a thermal infrared gun would be good to use if you have one handy. also if you ran the diagnostic mode did you get a flashing light?
@@BreakFixRepair not getting steam and nothing is hot either. One of the things I think is related is that on heat boost the area would get very hot that the countertop would heat up. Super insulated and super hot doesn’t seem like a good idea to me.
@darrylblair9574 check out my video on the TCO, it may be the problem. See if your dishwasher has one. It’s a little button in the bottom back right normally. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yrkg2_qKwHk.htmlfeature=shared
I posted another comment on here showing what I’d try that may work. The problem is waterproofing the board. It really needs some additional air blowing on it all the time to keep the moisture down. Posting the link to yours below.
I like partselect because they have a great system for verifying correct parts for the model you have. Here is the link to your UI board. fix.pxf.io/q41075
Love that you used it for mining 👏 one question I had is can I still replace this if the wires have already been cut ? Like does it come with the wire also from the picture on the site it seems to come with it
Thank you!! I will look for it!! I saw the back of it later that said product of India but the American versions also said that so I was not sure. Thank you for your comment!!
I had one delivered yesterday. There is a blue circular silicone piece that came with it that the installers were unfamiliar with. Do you know where that piece is supposed to go on the machine?
Hmmmm I think there is a plastic hose guide for the drain line. I watched the installers put mine in, only thing I saw them do was unbolt the drum shipping supports and drag it inside.

Well, it could be the actuator on the inside of the door. A lot of times it ends up being that pots and pans block the door though. What model do you have?
1:06 boy you said it correct because most of the Americans can't even pronounce , men that's literally in English. You should have get more drink (thumsup, limka, Mirinda, others) , biscuits (cookies) , chocolate and candy. Like there are so many. Drinks should be cold.
Thank you!!! I have a few more snacks to try in a couple more videos that are coming soon. Mostly sweet treats. I’ll see if these are included!! I’ll definitely get some more drinks too (and make sure they’re cold!!) Thanks for the positive feedback!!
I am a little paranoid of Samsung appliances after owning a Samsung fridge (the expensive one with the screen). Bought it in 2020 and it’s basically been a lemon. Had to repair the fans twice and now it’s not cooling again. Absolutely atrocious purchase
I hate that happened!! I do think their quality has gotten better the last couple of years. I’m certainly going to keep everyone posted on how this model does. I have a new video coming soon on things I’ve seen so far!!
You saved me from buying a new dishwasher. It would not dry so I watched one of your videos and it was the safety switch. The washing pump quit during wash cycle and it tripped the safety switch. So I subscribed. 👍
Yes!!! It’s automatic. It will wait 10 minutes if you set a specific setting but otherwise yes it will start drying immediately. Normally I will start a load, leave for the day, and come back to freshly cleaned and dried laundry. It’s a game changer!!
Yes you absolutely can do a wash only cycle, or a dry on cycle. you can also set a mode where it will give you 10 minutes to remove anything you don’t want dried. It will also alert your phone when it’s ready.
I have an error code 56. The Adora sounds as if it is draining, I added water and it drained it out. However it never starts the next portion of the wash phase and the activity light turns off and at that point it sounds like it is still trying to drain. Anyone have suggestions?
This is nice. Is it apartment friendly to hook up to the sink? Not all are adjusted to the new faucets they have these days. No one shows for that type of situation.
I’d certainly talk to the apartment management first. The weight is very heavy and they’re really wide and tall. Also the hookups are probably different.
Thanks for the video. No codes but dishwasher will not drain automatically when cycles are complete. Testing from 6 steps in video was normal. When water does not drain, the machine fills up with too much water from rinse cycle and water breaches the door seal then floods the basement ceiling and basement floor. If the start button is held then the water will drain after the basement is wet. GE model GDT580SMF2ES. October 2014 manufacturers date per serial number first 2 characters (TD). Ready to buy a new machine altogether.
Replacing the door seal is a pain!! I videoed doing it on a Samsung if you want to check that out to see. It’ll take some time. May be worth it to buy a new one. 😂 what are you looking at getting if you do? If not we can try to figure out what to do for yours if you’re not able to spend the money on a new one at the moment.
@@BreakFixRepair Thanks for the reply. I haven't started shopping/researching yet. Not even sure of quality brands now. We bought Speedqueen when our 10 year old Samsung clothes washer went to heck last year. Too bad Speedqueen didn't make dishwashers too. I appreciate the help with this.
Okay so check out my video on the control board issues. There’s a connection between the control board and the UI board. It’s possible it has come loose. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Le2x-Mq-040.htmlfeature=shared they won’t be identical but it should point you in the right direction. Also be sure to turn the power to the dishwasher all the way off first!!! Hope this helps!
Basically the 888 is saying there’s an issue between the UI board and the control board. Since you said you bought it used, it’s possible it came loose in transition to your house. At least that’s my first thought. Try to unplug the UI board connection and plug it back up on the control board. If that doesn’t work let me know.
I have a GE GDT545PSJSS and when ever I try to start a wash it blinks 3 times and makes 3 beeping sound. Tried resetting and removing power for a while but no luck.
in the beginning it sounded like the controls were just locked. so i had you press the steam and wash temp buttons together for 3 seconds. if you hold them again for 3 seconds what happens? There's also a possibility its in demo mode. If you want to try to take it out of demo mode (if it is in that mode) you can do that by pressing and holding both the delay button and start button together for 5 seconds.
My dishwasher will not start. It will turn on. I tried the test as instructed. I pressed start and cycle. The number 815 appeared then all of the lights went off then the lock control appeared. So does that mean I need a new lock control? I can’t afford a new dishwasher… Please help. I have a GDT695SMJ0ES. Is there a way to get a new part.
Okay let’s try this. It may be possible the controls are just locked. Open up the dishwasher and press and hold the steam and wash temp buttons together for 3 seconds.
When I go into service mode and hit start… it does not start. I blinks the normal, 1 yellow, and start button blinks (not solid) . It does the same for each of the 5 diagnostic modes. What does that mean?
After just over a year of use, I am getting a PC error on my Samsung DW80R9950US Dishwasher. I replaced the Diverter Motor with a new one, but the problem continues. I entered the diagnosis mode and I'm getting the 7C error there - still getting PC error when I attempt to run the machine. Any idea of how I can fix this?
well, 7c is normally an error with the waterwall assembly. is it possible something wasn't put in place exactly right during the diverter motor install? the PC error is normally caused from overheating due to a clogged filter that causes leaks and eventually overheating of parts. This sounds stupid but try this... clean the filter and then run some dishwasher cleaner through it in self clean mode.
hey there. cool video. I have a new haier/ge window unit 5 months old. It's got this exact issue...... so I watched another video that cut the brown cord.. he also mentioned that ge/haier intentionally doesn't put any moistureproofing on the uiboards so they'll break down. crappy. SO! mine has gone out twice now, both times the beeping, random changing of settings, and eventually turning off. the symptoms started presenting days before finally shutting off.. when I took off the vent grill when starting my troubleshooting routine, I noticed water/moisture along the underside of where the uiboard is located. it was then that I found the video another gentleman made cutting brown cord. then also realized he is most likely right about the moisture on the uiboard must be the issue in my case.... all due to the company making it unprotected from moisture. also, I live in the south so my unit basically runs all the time, intervals of fan,ac, fan,ac. so to the point, I'm saying all this because I can't find a uiboard to replace mine, Mine is a haier 14k BTU. plus, I'm not sure I want to get another uiboard that's going to face the same issue next year. currently, the AC unit dried off and has come back on all by itself and is running fine... we all know that's just temporary.. so instead of replacing the uiboard, I want to moisture-proof the one that's in there now...I have googled it and I am not getting a clear idea of what product I should use to put on it, and do I also put in on the cords/wires or try to avoid them. being that it's ambient moisture I figure I don't need a full waterPROOF chem, but something more like a conformal coating (from what I've researched). so any advice on how to apply this seal, what kind, where and where not to cover, etc... it's 109 where I am so help and advice are WAY appreciated. thanks in advance, and thanks again for making this video
First off thanks for your comment! Hopefully we can figure this one out for you. First thing, have you checked to see if it's under warranty? If its new they may send someone to fix it for free. Lets find the right UI board in case you need it later. Can you send over the exact model? I completely understand not wanting to replace it when you may just have to do it next year. To be completely transparent I used my AC conditioner to cryptomine and keep my computer components cool 24/7 with this AC unit. I've since stopped mining but two years later I had this problem. TO put it into perspective if left uncooled it would have probably been around 180 degrees in the room I was using, even in winter. Saying that to say this unit has definitely been through it lol Here's the problem with waterproofing. If you don't waterproof it perfectly, moisture will build up inside the case / on the board and have no place to escape, which will definitely cause the UI board to fail. I think you're right on the conformal spray though instead of waterproofing the whole case like they do in the newer models. Here's what i'd do if the warranty doesn't fix the issue. I'd remove the UI board from the unit completely, making sure there's no power and the connections are all unplugged, use a circuit board spray similar to this (make sure its safe for electronics) amzn.to/3SUEv58, let it air dry with a fan for a couple hours, then use something like this: amzn.to/4dKEPeF to fully waterproof it, make sure you don't miss a spot or it could potentially cause problems with moisture buildup again. may not hurt to do it twice after the first coat dries. I hope this helps. Of course this is just what I'd do but use your own best judgement, just be safe and make sure the power is off from the unit (unplugged from the wall) when you remove the UI board and be careful of any residual electricity from capacitors. If you'd like I could possibly make a video detailing this if it would help, but it may be a week before the video editor can get to it (or i can piece it together myself).
(Model: GDP670SYV1FS) We have had this GE dishwasher for about 3 weeks. At first it seemed to work well. We could press the cycle buttons we wanted to use then press start, close the door and it would work. The last 3 days the dishwasher would not drain, you press the buttons on the door edge and nothing would happen when you tried to select a setting of the dishwasher. We bought this from Lowe’s with the install, carry away the old dishwasher and bought the 5 year warranty. I called GE this morning to have a serviceman come out and see what is going on. I could not talk to a customer service person and had to go through the phone tree with the silicon diode fake person on the other end. Our old 13 year old Sears Elite dish washer worked flawlessly up until a month ago. All I want it to do is wash dishes and not give me any problem.
I’ve had this one around 3 years. I love it but it’s had some issues like the lower seal needing to be replaced and the middle sprayer arm completely broke off. I do love it because it gets the dishes really clean almost every time with the linear wash.
I have a GE GDT535PSMBSS, it is not filling up with water when it starts the cycle, it just makes noise like if it was already working on it, i found another video about a common fix for it by replacing the water valve and also the controller board which ive done already but still no luck, the same behavior remains. i came across your video and learned about these modes, the consumer error mode keeps the CLEAN led on once it finishes, the service tests work fine including the drain pump, water valve and circulation pump, checked on the document that came with the dishwasher and it doesnt show any error with that CLEAN light, also this model doesnt come with a turbidity sensor as per the diagram on where it should be, any idea is very much appreciated.
Once I get back home I’ll give a better response but the float switch also controls water levels in the dishwasher. The newer ones have a float switch under the flood stem. The older ones have it in the flood switch. I have some videos on both of these around a year ago! Hope this helps. Let me know if you need help finding them.
@@BreakFixRepair First of all thank you for your videos, was the guidance i needed, by running the service tests again i noticed that the sound it was doing during the DRAIN test and the sound it was making while trying to run a regular cycle was the same, hence the DRAIN phase was stuck, the pressure sensor for the drain was clogged, tried cleaning it out and ran another test and VOILA!, it works!, i still need to order for the pressure sensor spare as the current one is leaking after cleaning it but now i see the end of the tunnel.
