I own a 99' SRAD, Canadian Edition. I don't know why ...maybe the bike has something wrong with it, but since I have owned the bike, which is 14 years, I cannot get it to go more than 243kph. Stock except for a Vance and Hines Muffler, and I have tried other mufflers also. I'm 65 years old, weigh 182 pounds, so I can only assume I'm too fat for the bike registered top speed of 263 kph or 165 MPH ...I have turned the rearview mirrors in tight once and gained 5 kph. Now....my 18-year-old Grand Nephew is using it while I battle cancer, and he weighs about 120...he says he was doing 265 a week ago on it ...I don't believe him, but He's a top-notch kid, his Father has 8 motorcycles in the garage, and he drives them all... but not one of them is a sport bike. I have about 5 videos on my channel where I'm trying to prove wide open by using the GPS for factual speed and not an instrument cluster that is unreliable at best.
Mine was a 98 blue, black and white one with a Hindle Pascal Picotte anodized pipe...Got rid of it and got an 04 Pontiac GTO...Sold the car a few years ago and got a yellow and black 03 gsxr 750 and put an M4 stainless pipe on her and just had my 60th beeday and still riding her..😎👍
@@onlymotorcycles Thanks..That GTO was loads of fun but that bike to this very day is my therapy..It allows me to keep up with the youngins or rather it allows them to try and keep up with us 60 somethings..Burn rubber..not your ass..Be safe out there family..😎👍
@@ufcker915 yes cars are cool but there's no feeling like riding a bike, they really are used as therapy 😁 thanks 🙏 I'll continue to ride and hope you do as well 🏍️💨 take care 👊
@@onlymotorcycles Ah okay. I preferred the 600 scheme to the 750 ones as a whole. The 1999 750 did look good though with the arrow at the back. I'm on the hunt for a mechanichally sound SRAD at the moment. Price of these is going up alot as its just clicked into the classic bike category.
@0.29sec shows E01 on frame this makes the bike a General issue (Not Country Specific) bike and like mine even though on a UK plate its a Grey Import if it was a UK bike it should have E02 You forgot the front Rotors are not original too Speedo face is aftermarket , note you have two stickers either side of the clocks on the fairing UK don't have two. It is in really good condition sounds good too.🤙
I bought this 😁 Absolute blast and love it! Not sure how it got the 'Widowmaker' tag? Sure it's a handful to ride without all the electronic crap on newer bikes, but it is pure and after dialing into it after a few miles, the sound of that V-Twin through the Yoshi's and the upgrades make this a proper old school blast! Cheers Bud. It's been accepted to be on show at Goodwood Breakfast Club on Super Sunday, 2nd of June 👍
Glad to hear your still enjoying the old beast 😀 yeah it's one of the best sounding bikes out there for sure! 👂 I doubt I'll own anything that sounds quite like that TL does
Ahh yes, yet another walk around video of 'my' CB125F. - this one with a blip of the throttle. How many vids like this on U tube ? A dozen, 2 dozen, 3 dozen ? Yours was a real stand out ! because you bliped the throttle near the end. Totally intoxicating ! I think not.
I post videos for my own memories in years to come. If people watch and like them then that's great, if not that's fine... I don't see how it's affected you that much you felt the need to write a pointless paragraph to me 😭 very strange world we live in 🤦♂️
You can order them from the website, I'll put a link below shop.sc-project.com/en/brands/triumph/street-triple-675-2007-2012-r/t02a-28c-pair-of-gp-tech-carbon-exhaust
In standard form, yes they are good for daily use. They are ok on fuel but obviously a 4 stroke is more fuel efficient. These are more made for smiles per miles 😆
@@onlymotorcycles you have the original spring on the right side of the bike, and a spring on the conversion dampener....I have the conversion dampener on mine too, but without the spring🙂
@@onlymotorcycles i havent tried i with the spring on the damper, but with the conversion its not meant to be there. Only the one on the right side! It must be a very stiff ride?.... original it is equipped with a rotary damper. Try removing it🙂 Nice bike tho. I have a 97', and had it since 98' 😃
@@henriksallingjensen8104 Ok maybe I'll try it without and see if it rides any nicer. I didn't personally do the upgrade so I'm not sure why they would of left it on if it's supposed to be removed 🤔 and thanks its a nice clean example for a 97. You must love yours to of not sold it in all that time 😲
