The FCC needs to stop creating all these different frequency bands...all the carriers do is fight over them... Also force the phone manufacturers to include all bands in every phone. Its a challenge to find reasonable priced phones that can operate on all US bands including the international bands...
That’s a huge Great Leap Forward for AT&T. I’ve gotten word Verizon is also in testing phases of similar, if not, using the same radio gears. I’ve seen it where if it has 160-200mhz you can be 2-5 miles out still hitting around 300-600 Mbps+ 👀 👀. This is what I was referring to about a year ago about both Verizon and AT&T catching up in the 5g race to compete with T-Mobile. It’ll really be noticeable towards the late end of this year, and definitely all of 2025.
Verizon and AT&T need to dump money into their urban network. T-Mobile is eating their lunch in those areas. There is no reason why those other 2 should have LTE or low band 5G in those areas while T-Mobile has ultra capacity.
Some of AT&T’s capex money, approximately 4-6B are going towards expanding their fiber network to more homes and T-Mobile actually has more capex since AT&T isn’t focused too much on wireless other than converting Nokia markets to Ericsson markets to add n77 + 3.45Ghz DoD (40 mhz).
Hey Sneed can you do some content about the future of 5g, for example mobile edge computing, Hans spoke about it last quarter. Ericsson is talking alot about API in 5g stand alone.
Unrelated, t mobile SA is active all over East Tennessee now. They have also activated a bunch of B12 sites, it almost seems like they are using some AT&T towers for the b12. I know b 12 isn't a good data band, but it has put them almost on par with Verizon b13 rural coverage.
@@bowhuntingforlife I don't know how to explain it any other way. Once upon a time there was no t mobile b12 signal in many areas around here, then magically one day, not to long ago, there was B12 t mobile signal. Is that better?
Spectrum Mobile is a joke. Thier customer service Reps give you a different story every time you call. Do not waste your time with them. Now the internet side is great, and I have it. Stay away from their mobile service.
I wouldn't put pass apple to upsell mmwave to pro or pro max models and mmwave antenna is modular you can eliminate it and out it thus why you see global iphones with no mmwave. Especially in this high inflation environment a bet customers wouldn't even care about mmwave been out vs caring for a 100$ increase due to "inflation" a intelligent business Wil probably choose the first option.
I never got a text or a message to check the APP, but now it shows 234 dollars for 7 lines which is fine. I called them up and was told it was because it starts on June 5 and I might get a text later. Since my bill ends on June 17 it is only the extra 14 dollars, but starting with the June bill it will be 35 (255 total plus TMHI and add ons). Price increase is fine, but waiting to tell me it is not. One more increase then ATT will be my next option to take a look at with the first responder discount
AT&T First Net adds taxes and fees, and it’s 25% off additional lines, plus taxes and fees. Their 5G mid-band is also the smallest among national carriers. Consider that before switching.
@@Ralph-hw5ri I am not switching. But if T-Mobile raises the prices again the prices will be very similar. Even with the price increase T-mobile is still cheaper than the other 2 carriers so I ain't going anywhere and it is the network that works best at my home. I was just not satisfied with not getting a notification about the price increase. I have a prepaid ATT line on wifi because I live at the edge of the cell coverage.
I SHOULD HAVE KEEP MY OLD PLAN. FOR 2 PHONES $60.00 FOR PRIMARY, $20.00 FOR SECONDARY, WHICH WAS $80.00. THEY LIEING, AND STEALING AT THE SAME TIME. ALL CARRIERS ARE CROOKS. WE LIVING IN THE LAST DAYS. WE LIVING IN THE MATRIX. STAY BLESSED IN JESUS NAME.
They could put MM wave in the pro models and try to spinn it as a pro feature. Totally wouldn't surprise me if they were to go down that route honestly. It would suck if Apple were to do that but I wouldn't put it past them. It would give Apple another reason to upsell customers to the pro level IPhones. And they wouldn't need to put two separate modems in the phones. All they'd have to do is to exclude the MM wave module. Look at the 2022 SE for example. It has the same X60 modem as the iphone 13 but minus the MM Wave module.
MMW is not going anywhere in the US-spec iPhones. Apple can confidently ditch MMW on the iPad Pro because it would be a fraction of a fraction of all models sold affected for three reasons. While I don't have any firm numbers, I would suspect that the Pro iPads are probably the worst selling, in terms of units shipped, due to the high price. I would also guess that the vast majority of iPads sold each year are WiFi-only because of the added expense & most usage being in locations with WiFi. Or people will think "I'll just piggyback off my smartphone" whenever they need mobile connectivity. The three reason is that MMW isn't widely adopted, only being used an a dozen or so countries. All this adds up to the MMW enabled iPad Pros being a tiny percentage of all iPads sold globally. Moving to Sub6 only could allow fewer variants to cover more markets and simplify productions. Whereas, iPhones are going to have cellular, there's no such thing as a WiFi-only iPhone, and there's gping to be some national variants anyway so may as well add MMW to the models for those markets that have it.
Verizon's been giving away iPhones, iPads, and Apple watches for multiple quarters now so adding these new promos should help bolster growth. But at what cost? There's no way these deals are profitable smh
The companies doing these types of deals long-term have been way less profitable than Verizon. So VZ getting into these free everything wars may hurt their profitability long-term too. We'll see what happens.
10G Hotspot is only good for the first month after the first month it , you only get 5G Hotspot something they don't tell you. That's bull and when calling them about something you have to wait around an hour and they jurk you around so I let it lapes, gave up on them.
It’s nice to see them do something, but I can’t use Verizon until they come out with better priced plans. Even their welcome unlimited is too much for my use.
@@chewy736 i get 7 free business pass days, and unlimited data calls & texts in 20 countries without using any day passes. Verizon & t mobile are capped
