I'm learning about security in the open (OpenLearnSec - get it?) Slowly working towards preparation for OSCP (maybe OSCP+) and trying to squeeze it in between my work and family life. I work in tech and security is a part of my day to day but not my primary focus, so trying to level up! Come watch me fumble my way through CTF!
Hello! Do you have a video where you kind of show how you have your notes set up and such? I have way less experience than you and I'm trying to kind of organize myself. Still working through machines with the walkthroughs.
Not yet, but thanks for the idea! My note taking is far from optimized, but I am working on improving it and will publish a video. Don’t worry about starting with walkthroughs - everybody does!!
Thanks for the sub! I use obsidian.md for notes, super simple vanilla markdown. Next set of vids coming up have continuous improvement to workflow, try and improve a little each time!
You are most welcome; learning in the open is to keep myself accountable and hopefully provide some value for folks like yourself, so really appreciate the comment.
I love these kind of videos. You show your thought process, instead of just going through the answer. Even if we are down a rabbit hole 😅😅. I’d love to see more! I’ve seen the others you’ve done too!
Oh I forgot to mention there is two nakedCTF episodes a week coming out every Monday and Thursday, and I’ve got a backlog of Tools, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to record and share.
Very cool that you are doing this. I am learning computer science kind of on my own, so it is nice to have someone in the same position sharing their journey.
Thanks buddy! Will keep at it, got quite a few videos queued up every Monday and Thursday for the coming weeks. Once I get my unorganised notes into something more respectable will publish as well.
