If people weren't so lazy (apart from those with a disability and/or health issues or age), they wouldn't need to install so many escalators that are so much more costly to install and repair than stairs...
@@KONECorporationThanks! Great project. I will be in Paris in October for business anyway, and I wanted to take a look at La Défense station, but now I‘ll also visit la gare St. Denis. As an engineer, these are some new monuments of Paris, I think.
Toutes ces stations à grande profondeur vont générer des couts de maintenance annuel astronomiques (les escalators en font partie). Le choix, très pénalisant en cout de fonctionnement, de creuser très profond pour s'éviter des tracas avec les constructions en surface n' est pas vraiment abordé dans les discussions sur l'architecture des nouvelles lignes
Tout à fait, ça peu rebuter de se taper "3 mn" de descente puis "3 mn" de remontée... Certains, et pas les plus civilisés, abuseront des ascenseurs... A Mairie de Vitry la déco de la future station c'est l'intérieur d'une grotte... ambiance troglodyte
Ben creuser moins c'est se retrouver confronté à tous les ouvrages souterrains au dessus. Franchement sauf si vous connaissez précisément la nature du sol et des obstacles je ne vois pas comment vous pouvez être sûrs que ce serait mieux et moins cher si c'était moins profond. Mais surtout c'est méconnaitre que beaucoup de métros dans le monde sont plutôt très profonds et rarement juste sous la surface comme le métro parisien
@@languerouge5385 Par économie le métro du Grand Paris est en aérien (en viaduc) ou en surface là où il le peut (ex ligne 18)... par contre la 15 en proche banlieue passe sous la Marne et la Seine et "coupe à travers" sous une multitude de zones urbaines denses hétéroclites et inclut une foultitudes d'interconnexions avec d'autres lignes (RER, Metro, Tram, etc) donc les grandes profondeurs s'imposaient... La tranchée couverte c'est pas mal pour les métro légers en suivant les grands axes urbains sans rencontrer d'obstacle (fleuves, tunnels, etc.).
Except for that gap between the elevator and the floor you're trying to exit to, if your phone falls in there while you're on 30-something floor, good luck trying to get it back in one piece.

LoL. When I was kid I always thought the bell button would trigger an alarm and summon the police and fire department . I was scared that anyone would press it.
Meanwhile, behind them, someone who was wanting to walk up now has to stand and wait for their slow, inconsiderate bodies blocking the walk side and the stand side.
@@NWIEA There's a safety lever outside in the electrical panel which can bring the elevator to required level in case it stops midway floors. But only an outside person can do it manually.
