@@lyndonkapoor8823 that was in private land and I am not aloud to disclose the location as I didn’t organise the access. Part one covered the the fact it was private land
All of our winches have a free spool. Why we didn't use it as it saved having to walk all the way to the truck to release it, walk it out then walk back to lock again. Just easier to winch out & not move too far on foot. Moving around enough on a slippery hill as it was
That was awesome. What a privilege to be able to do something like that! I've always been amazed at where I'm able to pull my trailer to. That wildtrack is looking schaweeet!
@@its_eme01 the look on your face when we got to the top of the hill said it all Complete relief it was over All the winching and setting up was exhausting
I've brought my rig across the ditch after 250,000kms solo around OZ. Some of that was very remote. Now I'm here to explore NZ. There's lots of 4x4 cowboys around, ripping up trails, breaking shock mounts, steering arms, axles... looking for click bait video footage. I agree with you... solo is always safety first. Carry an emergency beacon. Respect the terrain. Enjoy the drive. Always carry first aid kit, extra food, water and warm gear for when desert or highcountry camping turns cold.
It is ridiculous that they closed off rimmer road access. It has an easement on it for the public to access the beach but the group that own the forest claim the auckland council should maintain it. Now they just closed the public access way even for surfers.
@@bartdeking totally agree The argument is that we can’t even get emergency vehicles out there without going in from each end of the beach Rimmer’s was our access for years and a good exit point if the tide got to high
Are these tracks mapped out and do most them loop around onto the beach. Also does the water come right up at high tide. How far from Baileys beach are these tracks. Would appreciate any help as planning a trip end of year
@@MoHafiz-tm9py jump onto google maps or google earth and start at Bailey’s Beach and follow down the beach south and you will clearly see the tracks behind the dunes The water does come right up at full tide And yes the tracks have plenty of side tracks to the beach Check out our 3 part Pouto videos and you will get an even better idea of what’s there

Good job guys, just thought to say something for the future. Every time when i see someone pulling a bogged vehicle out in revers gear, it hurts my diffs so bad. Just look after your own truck mate always try to pull moving forward. Its much better for your diffs.
@@shadowfax49 the guy who owned the Landcruser didn’t have a rear tow point fitted ! I did tell him it wasn’t a good idea to tow in reverse and said just pull back slowly and if it doesn’t move just stop
@@JL2OFFRD yea mete he use to ride with us on road bikes unfortunately he had a huge accident which I believe almost killed him! I have haven’t seen him in a couple of years now.
@@JL2OFFRD hahah i think so! I’d love to bring my next gen ranger out sometime when I’m back from Aussie should have it set up decent by then for camping.
He had no tow points on the rear I told him to go real slow and if it didn’t move just stop , definitely not recommended The Nissan had no front tow points !!!
