Mostly smooth note with a bit of a hard edge present. It sounds less like the McLaren F1 or Lamborghini Aventador - less growling, more singing - but still distinctly aggressive. Oh, and while it's probably been pointed out quite a few times before, it's really striking just how much this car resembles the GT1 long-tails of the 90's. Like, the proportions are almost spot on for what one would expect, though I guess the MC12 is only 5-6 years removed from that era.
Please FIA bring the true sound of F1 cars, the current F1 cars have such a crappy engine sound. They sound disgustingly terrible, that is bad they sound. What's up with 1.6 litter V6 engines on F1 cars. F1 cars engines sound so fake now, whoever decided at the FIA to install lawnmower engines in F1 cars should be fired from their job. At least in NASCAR they use big block engines for Camars, Hemmi engines for the Dodge Chargers and Coyote engines for Ford Mustangs. If I want to hear racing cars with lawnmower engine sounds, then check out cart racing. At least cart racing is kept original, not the fake engine sounds of F1 cars of today. Bring back the screaming F1 sounding engines so we don't see fake F1 cars racing and Monaco and other racing venues.
