Also, have fun! Just be sure to test out your loadout beforehand! You don't want to show up to the mountain, and then 1 mile in realize you brought WAY too heavy of a loadout to go up a mountain! I've done it before, and it set back my trip 1 day because I had to drop a lot of backpack weight before returning the next day. I wish you the best trip up Mount Kilimanjaro! You have a whole summer to train, I recommend you train occasionally by carrying your full backpack loadout around on a few day hikes beforehand to get the feel for it :)
A synthetic sleeping bag can be quite heavy. Make sure that your full backpacking loadout is light enough to hike up Mount Kilimanjaro. I recommend testing your full loadout by doing a hike on some sloped land similar to that of Mount Kilimanjaro. If you have porters, then lowering your base weight isn't as necessary, but it is kind! For an average sized woman, I wouldn't recommend carrying more than 35 lbs of gear. 35 lbs is quite a bit too. I recommend <30 lbs generally to women or smaller men. Don't hurt your body going up a mountain with too much heavy gear. I did it and paid the consequences for around 2 years while my right knee recovered. For perspective, I myself (a 6'0" tall male, 165 lbs) wouldn't carry a backpack weighing more than 45 lbs up a mountain. And I would prefer my bag to be 35 lbs or lighter. For my girlfriend who is 5'2" (110 lbs) she wouldn't carry anything over 35 lbs, and she would prefer to carry 25-30 lbs max on her back.
The dress code for women is skirts below the knee - no pants are allowed. For men, shorts to the knees are required. You can get coverings if you forget
