Hello there, How is it holding up? Did the OSB swell in contact with the floor?

Very nicely made. I like the addition of the planing stop, it seems especially useful for smaller pieces and you won't beat up the shooting stop.

Love the build. I really appreciate you talking about what you would change on the next one. I think it was Adam Savage that said you should be prepared to build something three times before you will get it to the point where you will be satisfied. Look like it's only gonna take you two. Nice work!

Awesome little box, she must have loved it! Love the curved lines on the lid, such a nice detail. One thing when using the router, is to try and clamp the piece down to use the router rather than holding it - if it were to slip, you could potentially get a pretty nasty injury on your hand holding if it were to deflect into it. Loved the vid and keen to see more!!

08:30 i thought you were going to use mitre saw for jig cuts, you get extra Bragging Rights for cutting perfect mitre guides by hand that didn't drift other side. I miss your regular videos on RU-vid, hope you're having good time with build projects & having successful business.

Very nice work. Being a female professional furniture maker was a very lonely business when I started out back in the early 70's and I imagine it can still feel that way sometimes even now. Still, seeing more and more determined young women like you embracing the trade feels especially lovely to old timers like me. Best of luck.

Thank you so much! I can totally see that and would agree with you. Very male dominated still, whether that's a good thing or bad thing I dont know, but I love to encourage as many females as I can to have a go. I love making things in general but woodworking in particular is SO much fun and rewarding. Thank you for checking out the video and taking the time to comment. I would love to see your work btw...DMs are open on socials/website and discord community is open too > discord.gg/ggyS655BWA. (no pressure tho!)

They are beautiful saws to use. I always reach for a pull saw first before using a western saw. Glad the video was of help to you and I love that you’ll be adding some aluminium for reinforcement. 👍🏻 thank you for watching and taking the time to drop a comment. Good luck with your build ✌🏻😊

Nice work girl. Love ur Welsh accent btw.. I'm abut to make one of these but I'm going to take a punt at it with an Allen Key. I have a decent sized one so it'll do me for my 1st attempt. I've recently begun to use Hand planes and saws and I love working with them now. I've hardly used my table saw at all since. I have a jointer/thicknesser as well but I don't use it either. I love to plane the timber clean now. I love the look of the grain after using the smoothing plane or finishing plane on them.. I wanted to ask if I needed a good plane for cleaning up lumber that is rough sawn?? What number plane is generally used for that process?? Do I ned another plane or will either of my #3 or #4 do the job as well?? I enjoyed the video but I wish it were longer to see more of the process. Just my silly gripe though. Great build..

Thank you Paul! I appreciate that, it feels very satisfying to get a long format video out. Haha I know, it’s a massive luxury. To be honest, I built it more for storage than anything else. Working from cardboard boxes 📦 was driving me nuts! But also built it so that each section could be placed elsewhere as a stand alone storage if things needed to be moved in future. Because I’m still going ‘this is too good to be true, I might not have a big space always, preplan for smaller space’ 😅😂
