Everyday Joe who loves to fish for crappie and bluegill. I work for an insurance company through the week, and hit the lake on the weekends. I don't consider myself an expert on crappie or bluegill fishing, only that I love to do it! I don't fish tournaments, I am not a guide, and I don't wear a fishing jersey! I am a low budget fisherman, don't have a bunch of fancy gear and electronics or high dollar boat. I try to keep it simple and to the point. I take a yearly trip to Reelfoot Lake in Northwest Tennessee, as well as trips to great lakes in Southern Illinois, Table Rock Lake, Bull Shoals, and others. I am always looking for opportunities to fish new water.
My goal is to simply have fun and catch fish, while providing you with simple information to help you catch more fish. You don't have to make a huge investment to catch crappie, unless you plan on doing it for a living.
@@RodsFishingAdventures the premier was weird. Have to play with the settings to figure out how the premier works when it goes from members only to public
Have you ever done good on little grassy and or cedar lake sir? I just put a little trolling motor on my kayak and want to get a cabin the shawnee area by devils kitchen/ little grassy. Cedar lake is on my bucket list as well because I have heard it is gorgeous. I love fishing for Crappie, but I want to eat a trout, as I never have before. Are these fish (trout/Crappie) able to be caught in late May! Thank you sir! God Bless
Little Grassy is similar to Devils Kitchen as far as the lake structure and fishery except for the trout. I fished there a couple of years ago and caught a lot of small crappie with a couple larger ones. Currently Little Grassy is lowered for work on the dam, so a lot of the stumps are above the water line.

Thank you for fishing our area. As a traditionaly raised Tennessean, It makes me happy to see folks enjoying themselves here. Vacations and Touisim are kind of our #1 commodity. If you get back this way, be sure and check out some killer eating places near you like Haggies, River Heights and the Outpost. If your wore out from fishing or just wanting to ride around, please consider a drive through Shiloh Battlefield park. Also thank you for not parking your boat aginst the dam on the upper side and then ignoring gate alarms. You wouldnt believe but a few folks think its just a suggestion. Please come back and shoot some more video, enjoyed yalls footage. Hope you do even better next trip. Be safe sir.
We did drive through Shiloh, but didn't really get to stop and check it out. Looked to be a very cool place. We are planning a trip back this year will check out some of your suggestions!
