I use a 10000HG with 50 lb braid with 50 lb leader on a 7’ 2” MH rod. Red Snapper, Amber Jacks and black fin tuna were no problem on my last fishing trip. It was almost too easy.

What gear where you using

I had 2 of these, 1x spinner and 1x baitcaster. Nice looking rods but put any of them up against Shimano's higher end rods and these are sloppy and weak in comparison.

What spinning reel do you recommend for slow pitch? Would a Shimano Nasci work?

I love all my Stradics, I upgrade them with Carbontex Drag washers and Gomexus Power Knobs which have two bearings compared to the tee handle 1 bearing and a shim.

I have a sustain 3000hg can't get the line to lay level. Very poor considering the price.

I purchased 2 Stradic 2500 for the kids in 2014. They were 5 and 7 at the time. Them reels have been dipped in the ocean, had sand castles built on them but there still going strong 💪

With so many dissimilar metals in the line roller assembly, I wish people would lubricate them more often than not. Ive had to do some horrific things to get some bails apart and order so many parts to rebuild them. A drop of oil every outing people.

Every stradic I’ve ever owned has always ended up with water in the gears and had to be sent in for a service. No other reel ever seems to have this problem
