@@playerindo Inline 5s generally have a frequency ratio of 3:4, or a Perfect Fifth. The frequency ratio of a V10 is generally 3:5, thus making a Major 3rd. Slightly different, but both chords are pleasant to listen to regardless. It’s pretty neat how a band student like me cool understand to/ relate to the physics behind what gives certain engines their characteristic sound.
Well it had a customade crankshaft, so the firing order also changed, normal i4 had 0-180-180-0 crank deg, this one had 0-180-0-180 the same that found in the new ford mustang flatplane V8 voodoo Edit: Tbh i forgor why did i wrote the false firing order in description tho
Sounds amazing. Genuinely more exciting than most engines we see on the road today. The only thing I'd have changed is the orientation of the exhaust/intake so that there wouldn't be a mix between the two. For example: I-E E-I I-E Then again even today there are cars coming out with inline engines that still cross both intake and exhaust on the same side of the block. Oh well.
Bisa banget om, paling otodidak sih learning by doing, paling gampang sih buat awal coba2 convert mesin yg dh ada di sim ny misal i4 convert ke V8 dengan cara ngikutin script mesin V8 yg dh ada di software ny apa2 aja yg beda sama script i4 tinggal gabung2 in aja ke script i4 ny sampe mesinya jalan atw minimal no error
Thanks for the subs! But unfortunately at this point my laptop couldn't handle a engine more than 12cyl or the video would be very laggy cus more cyl more heavier for the device
To make 8-1headers you'll need to delete 1 of this line exhaust_system exhaust1( es_params, audio_volume: 4.0, length: 145 * units.inch, impulse_response: ir_lib.default_0 ) Then change all the exhaust_system: exhaust0, line from all cylinder and bank to the same name as the exhaust system node the line i mention earlier, thats it, But to make a equal length 8-1headers you'll need to set the primary_length: To the same length from all cylinder and bank.
@@playerindo Okay thanks, I'll see how I go, should sound good. I've downloaded someone's v8 and modified it to what specs I can find about the real engine. It's based on a holden 304 (5l v8) from the vn commodore in the Australian touring car championship.

@@playerindo I will, thanks for your help, it has made 8 to 1 headers but maybe the exhaust is too big so it doesn't change the sound. After that's fixed I'll try to put the sound in assetto corsa.
I downloaded both of your 1GD and 2GD models. First up, I couldn't run the engine properly and the console kept showing no engine, no vehicle and no transmission. So I changed the code around that. Now, when the engine either hit the governor or go on an engine break, the ignition stops and never starts again.
Well this engine haven't got any update for the latest ver of ES, so that why there's a error no engine no etc, and for the ignition issue i haven't figured it out yet what caused it. Actually i dont remember making the 1gd tho
