So I tried this method on a 68 Charger and wouldnt recomend it. The metal of the sleeve is thicker than the sleeves in the upper controll arm and doesnt collapse very easy. I got the lip off and about an inch down in the sleeve and its like it was sticking to the wall of the cylinder. I ended up having to take a die grinder to get the rest of it out.
