Thanks. This is probably the best explanation of how to do this however I am having an issue. Hopefully you can tell me what I’m doing wrong. I try to follow this to a tee and I get 3 different results. 1. Comes out perfect 2. The backing completely covers the pattern after being sliced and it just looks like a gray coated on both sides 3. Most common. It will print one layer of the gray back on the bed then the design and then back to the gray backing. Also I don’t have the assembled button. Looks like it’s replaced with merge. Note: I have sliced it merged and unmerged with same results.
At 0.04 layer height, printing an extra 1mm takes 25 layers. Might be worth playing around with adaptive layer height to get the first 5 layers printing at 0.2, but have to do some maths to work out the colour change layers.
I cant get this to work for me. I have the newer version of Bambu Studio but changing the order of the objects in the assembly doesnt make any difference. Anyone know what might be going wrong?
For the life of me i cant figure out how to do this. I have my own line drawing from procreate, which i then convert to svg or stl but dont know what to do with it after that
How can I do this with an existing STL from someone else? I don't have the original hueforge file and the model geometry section is greyed out. Thanks!

Yes your right when you said the creator put in a water mark on their designs. No one is gonna make a million bucks off any one print but if they do then you can worry about that later as a designer. So how do you get rid of a water mark? I tried to add a small sphere in the location then mesh then fix part but after slice its still there. I'm stumped. Been trying to fix it for 3 days now and that's why I'm here. How you can help
Hi, sorry for the ignorance, I have a question: is it possible to do the same thing in Blender? Let me explain better: create a multicolored object and print it with a Bambulab P1S printer with AMS, using multiple different colored filaments, without having to manually color the object with the OrcaSlicer tool. I would like each part of the object to be automatically recognized as separate and assigned to a different colored filament for printing. Is that feasible?
I've been looking everywhere on RU-vid and none of them has said you can multi-colour print without an AMS but you still don't need to swap out the filament you can still print with all the filament on top of my A1 Ive been looking the answer to this question for AGES
This is not a criticism. Please can someone explain this to me? If you want a photo why not get a real photo not a 3d printed photo which looks worse. I must be missing something.
Hi Tony. You can use this for more than just replicating a photo. You can use a picture to create litophanes and night lamps with those pictures/photos, and that would be more than just an ordinary photo. Just my opinion of course, but I'm into both photography and 3D printing 🙂.

It is in underneath each colour slider. It actually also shows in this video. Bottom lefthand corner it says Layer# and Depth mm. I hope this helps, I'm a beginner myself :-) Edit: Reading further down below, I actually found an easier and better answer for you mate. It's on top middle of the screen now under "General options"
How would you go about making the back several layers thick and black top layers (100% fill) When i do paint by layer and make the layer 3rd layer and above all black, the printer still prints the outlines of the shapes. I want solid top layer to be the "back" of these prints. I see them all the time on makerworld, but can't figure that out.
What if i just want the entire print to be in that shape. First 2 layers of all the colors, then the remaining heights a solid black? I did the paint by layer and that works, but it still outlines the shapes. I just want solid infill top layers, as if it were a solid model and not text.
