This RU-vid channel was created to highlight the fun of being a dad and working on various types of garage projects. The focus will be around garage chats, cars, trucks, bike, racing, car shows and other vehicle related chats. We plan on also focusing on other projects that friends, family and enthusiasts need help with. Sometimes all we need is a little extra motivation and an additional hand. My goal is to help motivate and potentially finish some projects that most dads have trouble finishing or lose interest in. The second part of this channel will be focused on being a dad. There are so many perks to the experience and we will be discussing helpful things to share knowledge. There is nothing simple about kids and we hope that we can provide a place to share helpful experiences (both good and bad) with one another.
Steering wheel looks sloppy. Motion sells a quick release that is solid. I tried the nrg snd ended up returning it cause it wasn’t solid and I didn’t feel it was safe.
I would check their website. They update it regularly. The video footage is dated, but still shows the quality of the location and shops. Have fun while you are out there. Its a great experience.
I'm sure that "sketchy" jack setup worked just fine. First gen VW Beetles lifted just under the running boards. Lifted the whole side. Never had an issue.
That’s great to hear. I remember trying to do research for it and thought it would be good to have a video that highlights a few things I found interesting.. glad you found it valuable and best of luck with the installation!
I know that feeling all to well buddy. I have an 05 and mine did the same thing, makes me very worried to "hook it up" with some tires, so I just let her spin..lol
Very true man.. the part that hurts, is that it’s a RPM built diff… Yes spinning is a good thing.. I have been so focused on hooking, but I need to find the right balance. Feel free to write me if you ever have any questions.
That is a good question. I would recommend reaching out to Monster Clutches and they should have the specs on hand. Typically I reach out to them first. Good Luck!
Of course man!! You always come through with nice shots! I want to share your work! Keep up the great work and I will continue to share your work and info! Glad you enjoyed seeing them in the video!
It was all custom. The headers fit tight in there, and the steering arms were custom built around them. Don't have the full details but it was interesting to achieve.
That would have been awesome man!!! We plan on trying to make a few more in the near future! LS FEST East is the next big event we are trying to make... A few changes will be done to the car and we should be meeting our goal!! Either way, hope to see you at one of the upcoming events!
Wow small world . I was at Union County dragway yesterday for the Carolina Drag Cruise...... started watching your channel today. I used to street race with Gerald in Orlando 25ish years ago? 😳
Oh wow... That is awesome!! He is know from coast to coast with that little car. There is alot of upgrades coming with it. As a matter of fact he will be around town next weekend. Feel free to shoot me a personal email at garage.dad.talk@gmail.com and there may be a reunion... 🙂
No, unfortunately I am having a combination of tune and suspension issues. Its cutting fuel and pulling timing between shifts and causing the suspension to unload and it bounces quite a bit. We will see if we can get it figured out.
